    • A Programming Pain
The media could not be loaded. Install the three backup D batteries before programming. That way, you can disconnect from AC power and place on a table for the ordeal of programming on the tiny screen. Then you can put the machine back on the floor and plug it is with no fear it will have lost its settings. The LCD screen faint and hard to read on the floor when when not back-illuminated. But in programming (hell) mode, it is lit and easy to read and a good thing too, since you will have to try and try again to set properly, unless you have exactly the twisted thinking the programmer had. The written instructions are clearly printed but that is the last clear thing about them. The video on the product page is somewhat helpful but goes way to fast and skimps on essential captions. I hesitate to offer advice on setting up the feeding schedule because each time I have to change something I seem to have as much trouble as the last. - Do remember that the clock setting is 24 hours; e.g. 9 PM is 21:00. - The screen beeps, illuminates, and is ready for your setting attempts after pressing the "set" button for 3 seconds. - The functions move on from "time" to "feeding times" to "portion size". - Move from a function to the next by a short-press of "set" except when that doesn't work. - When a function number is blinking, press the "+/-" buttons except when that doesn't work. - The "Record" button is surprisingly simple: press, wait for the red light and say something up to 10 seconds long. - When finished setting the feeding times (up to 4) just walk away and the screen will go dark indicating you are finished. Assembly is intuitive and easy. Cleaning is easy. So far the feed mechanism has not clogged. Portion settings are 1-9. We feed Leo 4 times a day at the number 1 minimum setting of 10 grams weight, a bit less than half an ounce. Setting number 9 is 100 grams, 3.5 ounces, WAY too much for our cat. For all but teeny dogs set much higher. ... show more

Very good Quality and easy to set up and use. Can set it up for quantity of portions as well as when needed. Just fill back and it will feed your dog for you. Will even let you know when it’s running low. Awesome dog feeder, love it, Highly Recommend!
