This unit is in my basement. It runs quietly, keeping humidity at 45*. I have it set for continuous drain, you can have it collect water in its internal tank but it will probably need to be emptied daily. It has an automatic shut off so it won't overflow. I'm happy with its performance. The only downside was the instructions are a little vague. To switch from tank to continuous drain there was a plug that needed to be removed, that step was left out of the instructions. Pretty easy to figure out how to setup and operate. ... show more

Only issue - The product description specifically states "Equipped with a 6.56ft drain hose." The drain hose is only 3 and 1/2 ft long that comes with it as you can see in my picture. Outside of that, it works very well so far and is not as loud as I thought it was going to be. It definitely has a mild noise when it runs. I ran it about half a day and it filled up the entire container but I live in the south where there's lots of humidity. I'll probably need to get a longer hose so that I can hook it up and drain it the way I originally planned. ... show more

    • Terrible dehumidifier
I bought this for a fairly small finished basement, maybe 500 sq ft. I ran it on high and it barely dropped the humidity in the room. It is loud and puts out warm air. The tank is too small. I’ve had dehumidifiers forever and always there’s no way this is rated for 5500 sq ft, it can’t even do the job in a small space. Also the power button doesn’t work properly. I'm shocked. I live along the coast and moisture is a constant. A casual conversation with a person in a doctor's office convinced me to give a dehumidifier a try. It rained the first week I owned the dehumidifier and I emptied the tank once per day when the device signaled it was time. The tank holds 1.6 gallons. I have my unit set at 60% humidity. I really had no idea how well this would work. It was simple to configure and runs without my needing to do anything but empty the tank. I highly recommend it. This dehumidifier is very sleek looking and relatively quiet while operating. We have it in our basement and do not use the hose (which is laughable small). The reservoir is 1.5 gallon's and needs to be emptied twice a day. The controls are touch type and work well.

We bought this to see if we could stop moisture from pooling near ceiling vents near our sliding doors. We also purchased a small hygrometer just to see if it matched the dehumidifier. Sometimes it did and sometimes it was slightly off. In the beginning I had to email the company because I was having trouble with the buttons. They were responsive within a day and I learned that you do not hold your finger down on the button - you just need to tap the controls. One thing that I wish was better - the method to empty the water from the bucket. There is a hole that the water is supposed to empty out from, but it really comes out from more than just the hole. I end up holding the cover down while I pour the water out so I make do. Other than that, it’s a decent unit. ... show more

**** For continuous drain, the instructions left out a step: there is a grey plug that needs to be removed before attaching the hose. This unit really helped the humidity in my basement. The collection bucket is easy to empty if not using continuous drain.

    • This product is a little workhorse, works great
This dehumidifier is smaller, lighter, quieter, has a greater moisture removal capacity than the GE dehumidifier that it replaces. The current humidity is conveniently displayed in big numbers on the front panel and on the control panel display. We use this product to automatically lower the humidity in our basement level when it exceeds 50% - the level we set it at. The only complaint is the drain hose is only 3.5ft. Fortunately I could use our previous hose which reaches our drain. I hope this Chinese made product lasts longer than the GE unit. (As an aside, a significant number of dehumidifiers are made in whole or in part in China) ... show more
