    • Great for the price but a couple if minor issues
First off this fan is attractive and it runs smoothly and quietly. Installation was quick and easy. The price is great. There is a lot to like about this fan. That said 2 minor points. First, the word "dimmable" is used in the description ... this light is bright and is not "dimmable". Yes, you can change the color temperature of the lights (3 choices) but you cannot dim the intensity of the light output. Second, every time you press a button on the remote there is a fairly loud beep noise that comes from the fan - presumably to give you feedback that your button press was recognized by the fan. Turn the light on, "BEEP". Turn the light off, "BEEP". Turn on the fan "BEEP", Change the fan speed, "BEEP"... etc. You get the picture, lots of BEEPs! Not an incredible hardship, but it would be nice to be able to disable the beeping. I may look into manually disabling it if it becomes irksome. This unit replaced an existing ceiling fan/light fixture that was wired to wall switches, so I kept 1 switch to control power to the unit. I personally don't love having to use a remote (more things around the house that need batteries, ugh), but it seems to work well. So now, my wall switch can be used to turn on (BEEP) and off the lamp quickly when you enter/exit the room, and then as long as the wall switch remains on, the remote can be used to turn on and control the fan. Quick update: I contacted the supplier and they sent me a new remote and new receiver (the part that sits in the fan). These new parts look just like the ones that came with the fan but they do not produce the BEEP sound... so that might be an option if the noise bothers you. ... show more

We wanted to match a more expensive, name brand fan that we bought years ago. Found these for a fraction of the price and they have more options and increased ease of use. The guy who installed them said they were fine enough. He had to do some fiddling about to get them all together, but that is how remodeling goes. My husband and I had help getting these lights in while doing renovations, and made the mistake of not looking at them or taking them out of the box prior to installation… So now we’re just stuck with them. These were very difficult to install, but I think our old 1940’s house was mostly to blame for that. The blades are a beautiful wood, which was the main reason we picked these out to begin with. My biggest grievance is that the light itself sticks out from the blade base MUCH farther than the pictures show. It looks like someone tried nailing a giant puck light to the blade. The light also doesn’t sit flush, so there’s a weird gap in between the light and the fan base. These have the potential to look very nice, but with the light sticking out as far as it does I think it ruins the whole design. A few other folks mentioned a beep everytime a button on the remote is pushed and ours does the same. It honestly doesn’t bother us, but the fact that we have to click through all of the light settings or turning the light on and off 3-4 times just to get to the light setting we want is really annoying and already very old after just a few days of them being in. ... show more

This is a beautiful fan. It fits perfectly in my space. It's quiet and perfectly still when it's spinning - zero noise at all. It has 6 speed settings for the fan and even though it doesn't have a dimmer for the light it does have 3 settings from daylight to warm. It was missing a part and I contacted the company to get it and they were responsive and quick. Totally recommend, especially if you have a smaller space. ... show more

It’s ok. The air flow is great! But the low hanging (short) option is kind of a joke. Install is great and well equipped and the light option is perfect for us. The amount of hanging space required on the shortest length is kinda silly. Make sure you have at least 9” of room to lose. I would buy something else next time. ... show more
