I was delighted to discover how heavy duty these are when unpacking them. The cable is extremely hefty so any concerns I had about quality went quickly out the window. The bulbs are not glass so I don’t have to worry about accidentally cracking them as we hang them or with any landscaping done. We recently had a weed whacker kick up some gravel and break two bulbs on our existing set. The durability of these bulbs will prevent that entirely. I also really love that they have a warm glow while still being LED so I get the with my power bill. The Edison style is a nice touch even though it’s LED. This checks all of my boxes plus extra! The extra is the remote control. I love having a smart home, but sometimes I don’t wanna go looking for my phone to control my devices. I’ve never had a remote control for my café lights so it feels like a really nice feature. ... show more

I deliberately waited until the lights were hung on my deck before writing this review. The quality of this string lights set is very good, you can see that the wires are especially thick and not easy to damage. The remote control has a timer function, I usually set it to turn off automatically after 3 hours when it gets dark. I am very satisfied with this purchase, and if I need a longer string lights in the future, I will continue to buy this product. ... show more

The are pretty heavy duty. The wire is thick and seems sturdy. You might think the plastic bulbs are a cheaper choice than a glass option, but if you drop the strand while putting them up, like I did, you'll appreciate that they don't all immediately shatter. Kind of hard to get a good picture of the entire strand as it's very long. And it ends in a socket, so you can daisy chain a couple strands together, for an even longer strand. The strand lights work at 100% brightness plugged straight into the wall socket, but if you want to use the dimmer/remote, you need to attach the included adapter plug. The remote comes with batteries. Always nice to see that. It comes with 2 replacement bulbs. Strangely the bulbs say "do not use with dimmers," and the while writing is not all that visible when they're up, I might have preferred clearer bulbs, without all the words and pictures on them. The included zip-ties are plentiful and the reusable kind of zip-tie, another nice extra. There are 3 effect modes on the remote. "Flash" (alternating on/off), "Breath" (slowly fading on and off), and "Lighting" (Steady On). For the first 2 modes, the +/- buttons control the speed of the effect. I don't foresee anybody using these modes much. These kind of lights are usually for a relaxing and elegant atmosphere, and flashing or pulsing bulbs doesn't seem conducive to that kind of aesthetic. For the steady-on mode, +/- controls the dimmer. So you can manually dim below the 25% button, if you want to. Something about the light these bulbs put out seems a little vibrate-y to my perception, but it was less noticeable at the dimmer settings (which I thought would be the opposite). The two things I liked least about these lights are pretty minor faults. (1) I think we'd all prefer all-black zip-ties. Multi-color is a strange choice, but I'll probably just add them to my zip-tie collection and use them for something else. And (2) In an effort to seem fancier, they have been packed in a pink shredded paper Easter grass packing. It was an unwise decision, as it gets tangled in the wires. It was a bad first impression, having to individually pick out pink strands of paper. But all-in-all it's a really nice product. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I remodeled my backyard and patio area and not only did these lights work and look great but that remote really comes in handy. I did find that sticking velcro to the back of it and the other half to the wall, that this allows us to not lose it, plug it doesn't damage the remote itself. The light bulbs are plastic, which is great, especially when you have the sun constantly hitting them. Even with the triple digit heat, the plastic on these don't discolor, melt or break. When it said 50ft, I apparently didn't think about it because these cover my patio and part of my backyard perfectly. The lights on these can be adjusted and even set on a timer. They're super easy to use and they work with some old ones that I have too. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These lights are larger than what you see in the picture. They are LED and comes with a dimmer. They dim down to about a quarter brightness. I'm not sure what the blinking is for but it's there. I love the timer function

What I'd like about this set of lights is there's settings on it to get 1/4 1/2 3/4 and 100% of the light that you need per bulb it also comes with extra bulbs it also comes to the remote control so you control the speed of the lights how fast it blinks the other thing I like is that the battery comes in this for the remote control you don't have to buy a battery.
