I wasn't sure what to expect due to a lot of inconsistencies in the listing. What I received leaves a lot to be desired. First off, just from the size of the plain cardboard box (didn't look anything like what is in the listing) I would never have though it would be 48ft. Its NOT! Its not even 32ft with leads going to the outlet of only 10 inches. It repeatedly says they are color changing. They are not. While they are a warm white, my guess would be they are more 3000-4000 Kelvin than the warmer whites at 2700K. The listing says there is a remote. Nope, no remote. The listing says 8 modes. How do you change it if you don't have a remote? They refer to them as commercial grade and while they are okay, there is no way I would describe them as commercial grade. The bulbs are attached unlike any I have ever seen before and I have hundreds of feet of lights in my huge backyard. There is no on/off switch either, so without having the set plugged into a smart plug, you are left manually plugging them in and unplugging them to a power source. While they do seem fairly bright, I have no idea if they are at their brightest level or not because the listing says they are dimmable but how are you supposed to do that without a remote? The lights are 24" apart, which is what I always prefer, but there are only 15 bulbs and no spare. NO idea how to connect or disconnect a bulb - they don't screw in like all the others I own. So these most likely are going back in the box and maybe put on a shelf somewhere (maybe later I will experiment with hooking them to one of my other light strings) or tossed (most likely). NO, I do NOT recommend these! ... show more

These are terrific lights! I like the white string color, it's a bit different than the black color a lot of people use. The bulbs are bright and have a warmer quality about them, overall, I think these look durable (looking at the cord thickness and how the bulbs are attached). The sealed bulbs should be water resistant as long as the bulbs stay intact. I think the added bonus of a remote is a nice touch also! Since these are commercial grade they should be durable and last over your patio or around the fire pit. I think they will add a twinkling warmth to the atmosphere also.
