These really are a great set of affordable and well made lights. You are provided with 2 spare bulbs as well, but in my case every bulb lights up and provides a really mellow but well lighted back patio, in fact they are pretty bright since they are only one foot apart. I might remove every other bulb and see how that works for the wife and kids. She wants a subtle party ambiance more than a lighted porch... OK I get it. The product arrives fast with Amazin Prime, bulbs are not pre-inserted, and that is a good thing, since you won't be breaking any while mounting the wiring and receptacles. We just inserted bulbs as we attached the wire to the wooden beams on the patio. Bottom line = 5 Thumbs Up and a great product. All is well in party land now.

Update: I'm still using the first string of lights I purchased over 2 years ago. They are still working great although a little more than a half dozen lights are filled with water and have an orange hue to them (still work though). I have the original replacement bulbs that I received with my purchase that I plan to replace and that will fix some. It won't be enough so I will need to get more bulbs. The rest are looking fantastic. These lights always surprise me. We experience crazy rain, wind, hurricanes, and the Florida sun yet these have held up and still look great in my lanai. Original review: June 30, 2021 - They lights are great! I love the way the bulbs look. I also love that they give off a warm light and not a cool blue light. Great ambiance for our lanai over the pool. The lights are the perfect amount of brightness to our space. I purchased 100 feet and it fit just right. I've been using them every night so far since delivery and they're great. It has rained a lot here in Florida the last few days and so far they still work perfectly fine. I will update if any part of my review changes.

Pros: Cheap Lights up fairly bright Looks nice Cons: Every time there was a decent rain, my breaker would trip. I finally figured out the problem. Random bulbs were filling up with water and tripping the breaker. I bought an extra set of bulbs and just keep replacing them as they fill up. Kind of annoying but I guess they are so cheap that I will deal with it. The new replacement bulbs have random bulbs that get rain in them as well so they must get their bulbs all from the same manufacturer. You get what you pay for, right? I now own 4 sets btw so I guess I'm not that bothered by it.

I installed these at our place in Florida, two hurricanes later they still work fine. Hurricane Milton was a direct hit here, unbelievably had no effect on these lights. Kind of remarkable so ten stars.

I needed a 100' string of shatterproof, dimmable, led lights for my tiki bar and attached pergola. I wanted to have a light every foot instead of every 24" like a lot of the other sets out there.These fit the bill with 2 sets of 50' and 108 bulbs total @ $30 a piece and I strung 'em up in a couple hours over the weekend. The bulbs are stored separately for shipping so depending on how you want to string them you may need to assemble before hand. For me , I strung the wires first and installed the bulbs second and did not have any burned out bulbs just one that wasn't screwed all the way in. They send you like 4 extra bulbs with each set but you can buy replacements here on Amazon for less than a $1 a piece. Am going to purchase a dimming control but they are perfect for casual ambience not too bright and not too dull, personally I like to dim them down before watching a movie on the projector's screen in the pergola. Highly recommend these for my install, yours may be different.
