Did not pre chill but by early spring they started to sprout. I didn't count them but it looks as if all 50 sprouted and bulb. Mostly purple/pink but a couple whites and striped. The bulbs arrived completely mushy and molded over, to the point where they were making me sick to be in the same room with them. It appears that the only way to get a refund is to drive them to a return station but I’m not putting them in my car, so I guess it’s just a waste of nearly $50. Awful.

Planted in the fall. A lot of our bulbs came up without issues. They’re pretty but a little disappointed that the colors are not what was advertised. I have mostly red and pink when I was hoping for pinks and violets.

    • Small onion bulbs with a big price
It was unfortunate that I wasted my time and money on these tulips that were the size of a union when the description said cry’s large and so was the cost at $42. I didn’t even get the full amount of bulbs and now Amazon wants me do deal with the seller. Big headache with a big price and no solution as of yet. Wish me luck and find a better option with less headaches ... show more

    • 5% rotten bulbs.
I purchased two 50 count bags. Upon planting them the next day five of them were rotten. Would I buy this again yes because of the color mix and I’m hopeful that the 95% that weren’t rotten will bloom beautifully.

My review is for the Daylily Nurseries 50 purple rain tulip bulbs. Among the other 9 reviews for this product there were quite a few bad ones so I was concerned I might have some issues. But I bought 2 bags anyway and was very pleased. the bulbs arrived large and healthy, thick and well nourished here in December 2017. There was no mold at all on the bulbs which was a complaint noted by some other reviewers. I planted them all today and since recommendations are to plant them densely, I'm going to order some more. ... show more
