I've used this hose a few times in past weeks and am quite impressed by its performance. It's not heavy duty by any means, but it works very well. The nozzle is also well made. The shut off valve at nozzle end is excellent, in that you can stop water flow to change nozzle or whatever, without going back to spigot. The hose is lightweight, and when drained, curls back up into a tiny mound of hose. Concealing it well in my garden. No kinking. No leaks, good water pressure. ... show more

    • Finally a hose that doesn’t kink or tangled
Taking me a while to write this review. Summer just got here. I had ordered this hose in anticipation of springtime gardens. I was a really not looking forward to wrestling with my hoses which I do every year. I live in a warmer climate, but it really gets hot in the summer. This hose doesn’t get hot on the outside, even if it lays in the sun. The water inside the hose warms up slower than if it were just a rubber hose. I don’t reel in my hoses every morning and every night so they tend to just lay around during the day. That being said this hose seems to take that punishment. I’ve been using it for about four weeks now and I’m very pleased. The most important thing is that it doesn’t kink and get tangled, which is a huge deal for me because I feel like I spent half of my life or at least half of my downtime wrestling with hoses. Not a problem with this. I’m very pleased with this and I would order it again. In fact, I’m going to buy a couple more for the other side of my house which requires a longer reach. I think for the price point it’s definitely worth the money because I go through rubber hoses like crazy because they just break quickly. They get warm and they get unmanageable. The one that I disconnected and replaced with this one had two Benz in it that I couldn’t get out and I take pretty good care of my belongings. Overall, I think it’s a good deal for a good price and I would recommend this product. I’m not wanting to give five stars a lot but this one gets five stars because it saves you hassles and headaches. That’s worth it for me. ... show more

Typically, I consider this style of hose to be a specialty hose. Characteristically, they are not used for high volumes of water, and they will crush if you drive over them. But for my purpose it is absolutely perfect. I am using this hose to go from one side of my camper to the other side, but under the camper. Our water connection is on the opposite side of our camper. We are seasonal campers and having water on the “door” side of the camper is a necessary feature. We have traditionally used standard hoses but after a year of laying on the ground in Northeast New England, they dry rot. This is the perfect “hose barb” extender for my purpose. I am a Professional Mechanical Engineer, and I work with, and I am around machined components all day long. And I can just tell this hose is well made simply by the feel. The male fitting has absolutely no pitch deviations from start to finish, and the inside looks to be perfectly machined. Meaning there are no burs or sharp edges anywhere and the finish is smooth. The female fitting is no different. Threads are well cut, and the body is perfectly machined. The knurled grip all the way around the fitting just above the collar has zero miss cuts and no signs of stress cracks. This is a very well machined component. And the “handles” are attached well. And you also get three (3) more rubber washers... not plastic washers, and a small spool of Teflon tape. Very much looking forward to using this Stainless-Steel Garden hose when our camp opens.     • Worked well in a test for emergency basement flooding
I ordered this to pair with a basement emergency pump. In a test it was easy to couple and did not leak. If I should experience problems I'll report back. This length of hose is intended for emergency use, not everyday use, in case of basement flooding.

Sometimes you don't need a really long hose, and that's where this one comes in. Using a long hose for short distance applications, without the proper hose storage device, is a pain. This is a nice quality hose for those with multiple hose bibs, or your camper, or whatever, as long as you don't require a long reach. Nice quality hardware, fittings, gaskets, etc. ... show more

    • Dogs, puppies, and the hose that lasts
I have dogs. Several dogs. Unfortunately, they decided the heavy-duty rubber hoses I had were just perfect for teething and chewing. So my 150 feet of hose (we have a big yard) was ever shrinking. I have gotten several of these through the vine program to add to the 100 ft metal one I bought, and they have made a huge difference. I tried the expanding hoses. Every darn one of them blew up, no matter how careful I was. They just don't seem to be able to tolerate the heat in Arizona. Going metal was my last resort. This has made it possible to just change out the section that gets compromised or deteriorates. I used to think that getting short sections was pointless except to hook up to a hose storage unit, but nope, not anymore. I am a convert to one long section with the shorter sections attached! Yes, I can and have used the repair nozzles on the undamaged portions, but it can be a pain in the rear, and going through a lot of them is just as costly in the long run.
