    • Well-designed, tough little hose
Hoses are in use everywhere here on the farm- gardens, greenhouse, vehicle and equipment washing, landscape irrigation, portable watering and spraying equipment, rainwater catchment and distribution, etc. Despite their importance, they don’t always get the best of care. This is why I love a stainless-steel garden hose- it can stand up to the harsh treatment. This 3-foot model has a flexible 304 stainless steel outer shell that can be bent into less than a 6-inch diameter coil without forcing or apparent damage, and it resists kinking and twisting far better than any plastic/rubber hose I have ever had (and I have had plenty). It can be dragged over pavement, concrete or gravel, is highly impervious to corrosion, and shrugs off long term exposure to the sun (the death of most hoses around here). It also remains flexible even in cold temperatures- something regular hoses sometimes claim, but none can come close to a stainless-steel variety. Moreover, this “armored” hose has solid brass fittings, an increasingly rare virtue as many hose manufacturers have resorted to brass colored aluminum fittings, which tend to corrode quickly, especially when mated with another aluminum fitting making them nearly impossible to separate, and I have found aluminum to be easily cross threaded. Solid brass is tried and tested, and in my experience, far outlasts aluminum. The hose also includes an innovative strain relief at each end, protecting the hose where it is most likely to be damaged. Three spare hose washers are included- a thoughtful little extra. I am very pleased with this Sowgreen Stainless Steel 3-foot Garden Hose. Time will tell if it can hold up as well as I expect to the maltreatment working hoses receive. I have had several over the years. Typically last 1-2 years before they burst.. Keep in shaded area when not in use. Be sure to drain the excess water out after turning off spigot.For me, the ease and convenience worth it. Easy to handle and shrivels up into small wad. No hose cart needed. After draining, I just place it on a Shepherd's hook beside the spigot. ... show more

I love stainless steel hoses, and this one with solid brass fittings is excellent. This is a very short size but will be used very well as an extension hose in tight places or in a sink, etc. It doesn't leak, it flexes so very well, nothing not to love about this hose!!

When I received the garden hose I tested it for leaks and was pleased that there were no leaks at the connections. The hose is well made. I'm using this hose to connect my soaker hoses to my PVC pipe waterline for my trough garden. These 3ft. Hoses are perfect for what I needed them for. I'm happy with this product! The only thing I would warn the buyer, is to know how long 3ft actually is because the photo shows a much longer hose than you will actualy receive. I wanted 3ft, so I wasn't surprised. ... show more

    • This works for me
I have a large vegetable garden and am constantly dragging long hoses around to water it. I use a spray wand attachment and find that the hoses constantly fail just behind the hoses male coupling, where it attaches to the base of the wand. The weight of the hose causes the rubber to make a sharp, right angle bend and the constant flexing causes the rubber to fail at that point. I got the stainless hose to put between the wand and the rubber hose, thinking it would solve my problem. It has. This hose is very durable and while flexible, it does not take that sharp right angle bend I have had trouble with. I only got the 3' length as that's all I needed for my purpose. I suspect that a longer length would easily hold up to being stepped on or could handle reasonably light objects being rolled over it. At first I feared that it would restrict water flow - it is narrower than a normal rubber hose of the same size - but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm happy with it. ... show more

Good short extension hose with standard 3/4" hose ends. Flexible, durable and crush resistant outside metal covering with inside diameter of around 1/2". Comes with extra gaskets. I used it to get my 4-way valve off my raised hose bib and relieve some of the weight and stress on it.

Seems to be of very nice quality. It comes with hose gaskets, so that's a plus. I was going to use this as a leader hose from my hose bib to my hose reel, but I need a hose with two female ends. This hose has one female end and one male end. So for my application it did not work. But that is my own fault for not fully reading the product description. Easy fix with an adapter though. The hose is super flexible and the stainless steel cladding makes it tough. All in all this is a great hose. ... show more
