  • Great tool for the price! Great tool for the price!
Color: Ivory White & Champagne Gold
Pros: the price, it’s light weight Cons: it’s loud, but no louder than a blow dryer, it will take a bit of getting used to. I tried this on 2-day hair, brushed, and sprays with water. My hair was slightly damp. As you can see my hair is naturally very curly. For a first try I think it turned out ok! With a bit of practice and the right hair product I think it will be a great tool. ... show more

  • Overall, I like it! Overall, I like it!
Color: Gold
-5 in 1 Multi Hot Air Styler Wrap (Gold)- I have tried a couple of multi styler tools. None of them were the expensive name brand one, but I thought they were good tools at a reasonable price. But this is my favorite so far. Here's why: - The barrel is more narrow than other tools I've tried, making it easier to hold. - It's lighter than my other tools. - I have larger than average hands, and my hand always seems to cover the air vent at the bottom of the barrel on all of the dryers I've tried. This is the first one that is long enough for me to use without accidentally covering the air vent with my hand. - I have type 4 hair. I am transitioning to natural. I am 8 months post-relaxer. So, I have been able to take advantage of several of the attachments. My favorite is the one that looks like a paddle brush. The teeth let me get right up close to my roots and straighten out the curly portion of my hair. Also, this is the first brush attachment I've ever seen that has teeth on the side of the brush. It really helps grip all my hair and straighten it. -My hair dried fast and didn't get frizzy, even at the medium setting. -I appreciate that this multi styler comes with a storage pouch. I was surprised at how many of these multi-stylers don't come with a storage pouch to hold all of the attachments! -The air wrap barrels worked well, and I was able to get a nice spiral curl when I tried it out on my mannequin head. But it's not all a bed of roses. There were a few things I was disappointed with: -The indicator light for the heat setting is hard to see in bright light. I have to cup my hand over the light to make sure I'm on the right setting. -The indicator light dots are TINY. I'm not sure why they made the lights so small and hard to see. -The attachments might be hard to remove for people with arthritis or other dexterity issues. My other tools have a large button to press to release the attachment. This tool has a small button that you have to press downward on. I can see how this would be problematic for some. It's not the easiest to use. -While the air wrap barrels worked well, a couple of mannequin hair strands got stuck in between the plastic part of the attachment and the metal part. So, be careful. -It's a bit loud. When I had it right next to my ear, it actually made my ear hurt. I will be wearing ear plugs next time I use this. At the time I ordered this, it was selling for $179.99. I wouldn't pay that much for this. I see that it is now selling for $113.49 on sale. I think that's a more reasonable price, assuming you don't have issues with your hands. If you do, I wouldn't recommend this particular multi-styler at all. I would recommend one with a large, easy to press button. Overall, I'm pleased with this dryer. It's not perfect, but there are lots of opportunities to improve and make this an even better product! As it is now, I think it's a nice set that appears to be good quality. ... show more

  • Much better than my last set
Color: Blue
This set works better than my last one. Most importantly, the air wrapping works better - it wraps more effectively than my last one. The buttons/controls work better on this one. My last one had clunky buttons and switches where this one has smooth buttons. This whole set is much sleeker than my previous one. This one feels more lightweight and easier to manage. I'm not sure that it actually is more lightweight, but it feels like it. It could just be the shape. My last one felt kind of cheap and plasticky but it was actually cheaper than this one, by about half. I would choose this one from Lofans even though it’s more expensive. It’s worth it for the better performance and overall quality. The only thing where the other one had a slight advantage was that it was a bit easier to switch out the attachments. They had a better click-into-place feel and click to release. These are a bit stiffer. I’ve already gotten used to these though. I’m not having any trouble changing attachments quickly which is good because you have to switch back and forth between the two air wrap attachments. They curl in opposite directions. I tried just using one of them and reaching over my head to curl the opposite side, but the spirals weren’t coming out right. It’s better to swap out the attachment. My hair dries quickly with the hair dryer attachment. I actually have to make sure I don’t dry it too much. Your hair should be damp when you go to use the air wrap (or the brush attachments). Keep in mind that all of the attachments are also hair dryers, just in different shapes. For me, I’ve found that my hair should only be about half way dry before I start using the other attachments. I imagine this varies depending on your hair type. I believe my hair type is 1b/1c. It’s not super fine, but mostly straight, and takes curl pretty well. With the hair dryer, I really only dry the underside of my hair, mostly close to the roots. I don’t try to dry the top layers or the front directly with the hair dryer attachment at all. I really love how my hair turns out with using this type of styler. I’m able to get so much more volume compared to drying and then curling my hair with a curling iron or flat iron. My hair doesn’t necessarily hold the curl all day, but it holds the volume and enough of the curl to look good all day. I also don’t use much product, pretty much only heat protectant and sometimes a spray with a very light hold. These types of tools do have a learning curve, but I found the air wrapping technique much easier to learn than curling with a flat iron. I definitely suggest watch short tutorials on YouTube and have fun with it! ... show more

  • not bad
Color: Gold
I tried this 5 in 1 hot air styler mainly for quick drying and light styling after washing my hair, and it made the routine easier compared to using a separate dryer and brush. The airflow is steady, and switching between attachments is simple once you get used to the click system. It helps smooth hair while drying, so I did not need to go over sections again and again. The handle feels comfortable to hold during use, and the cord length gave enough reach without being awkward around the mirror area. My hair came out with a soft shape and less frizz compared to air drying alone, especially around the ends where I usually struggle with uneven texture. ... show more

  • Not bad!
Color: Gold
I’m generally pretty comfortable styling my own hair, and I have quite a lot of it. Even so, I was surprised by how much volume this produced, even when I was just using the hair dryer attachment. The noise level isn’t bad either—possibly even quieter than a typical hair dryer. Like a standard dryer, it has separate controls for speed and heat, and the controls are very intuitive and easy to use. I started by using the dryer attachment on my freshly washed hair. After that, I switched to the larger brush attachment to smooth it out, and then finished with the curling barrels to create loose, wavy curls. Once I figured out the technique on one side of my head, doing the other side went much faster. The end result was lots of volume with soft curls, and I thought it looked really nice. When I use a traditional curling iron, I usually create tighter ringlets and let them cool that way so the curls last for several days. With this tool, the curls were looser and more voluminous, which actually made my hair look fuller than usual. By the next morning, the curls had mostly relaxed into waves, although some of the volume remained, giving it a more natural, relaxed look that I also liked. It’s possible the curls didn’t last as long because I didn’t use any styling products. However, I don’t usually use styling products with a curling iron either, so it felt like a fair comparison. I’m not sure if it’s significantly faster than using a curling iron, but I do appreciate that this 5-in-1 styler combines multiple tools into one. It means I don’t have to pack both a hair dryer and a curling iron when traveling. The set also comes with a nice storage case that holds the styler and all the attachments securely, although it could have been made slightly larger to make packing everything a little easier. Overall, I think this styler has a lot of potential and it’s reasonably priced. It’s a great way to try out a concept similar to the Airwrap without spending a fortune. So far, I really like it and I’m glad I decided to give it a try. ... show more

  • I don't think this is made for thin hair
Color: Ivory White & Champagne Gold
I was super excited for this to arrive! I has hoping to cut my get ready time down with this, but i don't think that's going to be the case. The curling attachments, don't really curl much - tried on wet and dry hair. The straight comb worked really well for my daughters hair, but my hair being much thinner, it wasn't as effective. ... show more

  • Gorgeous hair dryer for quick and easy styling Gorgeous hair dryer for quick and easy styling
Color: Blue
This 5 in 1 air wrap hair dryer from Lofans is a high end air dryer of this style, while still being a more affordable option than the classic name brand version. I love the color of the one I got - the blue and gold is gorgeous and looks so sleek and professional. It comes in a beautiful white storage bag that you can use for travel to carry the entire system with you. Inside the bag are the main hair dryer, two of the round wrap attachments (one for left, one for right), a round brush attachment, a sort of regular brush attachment, and a classic blow dryer attachment. All of it fits in the bag quite nicely, and it's fairly lightweight, so it fits well in suitcases for travel. A lot of stylers don't come with a travel bag and you have to buy one separately, so part of the value of this one is getting a case and hair tool in one. Each of the attachments work very well for what they're made to do. The round brush and regular brush attachments are both good ways to get your hair dry and achieve a blow out sort of look. I personally don't use these two tools that often, but they work really well. My personal preference is using the air wrap attachments. I'll either let my hair air dry most of the way, or will otherwise use the blow dryer attachment to blow dry my hair until it's mostly (but not completely) dry. Then I'll use the air wrap attachments to curl the hair. Both of the air wrap attachments do have a sort of auto-wrap feature, but I personally prefer to use the attachments in the same way I'd use a curling iron, by guiding my hair around the barrel. You only really need to leave the hair on the attachment for 3-8 seconds or so, and then slowly pull the hair out, and you're left with a soft, gorgeous curl with very little frizz. You can leave your hair in the wrap attachment for more or less time, depending on how loose or tight you want the curl to be. I section my hair and do this all around my head, using relatively small sections. If you use too big a section with the air wrap attachment, it won't hold the air in place as effectively. If I let my hair air dry and only use the wrap attachments, it only takes maybe 15 minutes to complete the look. I find it way easier and less time consuming to do compared to using a curling iron, and it creates a lot less frizz this way. There are a few minor complaints I have. The blow dryer is fairly noisy, but I'm pretty used to loud blow dryers, so this doesn't bother me that much. I always wear ear plugs to protect my hearing when I use blow dryers, which is something I'd recommend for anyone. The blow dryer is pretty powerful, so it is understandable that it's pretty loud. The attachments are mostly easy to put in place, but can sometimes be a little finicky about "locking" and you have to mess with it a bit to get it to attach correctly (see the picture of the hair dryer attachment that didn't quite "lock" in place). Similarly, the lock can be finicky to "unlock" as well. The tool gets very, very hot when you use it, so you definitely want to use a heat protection glove when you're switching out the different attachments so you don't get burned. I was a little surprised that the set didn't come with a glove, but I have plenty of gloves from other hot tool purchases, so it wasn't a huge problem for me. I also wish the lights for heat and power were a little bigger so they are more visible, but they still function well enough. Overall, this was a total win for me. The hair dryer works super well, gives me salon quality hair styles, and is easy and less time consuming to use than my normal methods for styling my hair. Yes, it's very expensive, but this set comes with both the hair dryer and a storage bag, so there's a lot more value here compared to an air wrap option that only comes with the air dryer. It's still significantly less expensive than the name brand version of this item, while still being great quality and it looks really luxurious. ... show more
