My son and I descend from bony-bottomed people. There’s just never enough padding on commercially available chairs for our less-than-ample backsides. Over the years, I’ve invested in a few chair cushions in our never ending search for a cushion that’s comfortable enough for our pointy rumps. Think this one may be a contender. I was initially surprised by how thick this is - 6 inches. 6 inches! When I threw it on my son’s computer chair, it reminded me of a booster seat. But once he sat on it, the cushion compressed down to about 3 inches, which gets closer to the thickness of our other foam cushions. What sets this one apart is the foam. Most of them feel more solid, some squishier than others depending on whether they’re memory foam or not. But this one actually feels more like a cushion with springs in it, like some sofas and mattresses have, or used to have. And we both really like that. The only wrinkle is that if you’re not perfectly centered on the cushion, you actually feel like you’re sliding off a little. In the perfect chair with some sort of side support to hold in the sides of this cushion, this truly would be perfect. Even on my son’s unsupported computer chair, it’s pretty amazing. Whoever designed this, thank you!

I really thought this would be great to get me to sit higher in my chair, but when I sit on it, it collapses and I'm just as high as if I did not have this at all. I would not call it a booster and it does not boost. It is a good size, and if it worked would be a good value for the money, but since it did not work, I can't say it is a good value for the money. I don't think it is good quality because if it were it would have lifted me higher, especially with over 5" of extra thick cushions. Possibly using a better filler would help. The size is perfect as it fits the chair well so you don't have to worry about slipping sideways. Other than that I have not go much to say about this product other than it is cheap and not worth purchasing.

I'm constantly traveling in my car long distances to get food & supplies. I have a decent car seat but when you're driving all day it takes its toll on your gluteas maximus. So I decided to purchase this extra thick chair cushion sold by VARRISIN. When I first received the small package I thought that it was a mistake. But when I opened the box I realized it was the right one. It's the miracle of modern day vacuumed packaging. Once I took out the plastic this really nice seat cushion emerged. When they say that it's EXTRA THICK they're not kidding. Holy smokes I'm beyond happy this 17.7x15x5.9 inch foam cover is exactly what I was looking for. The next day I immediately put it on my car seat. It was a perfect fit for my Kia Sportage suv. I like that it has a flexible strap that allows me to place it around the car seat to keep it in place. And it even has a handle which makes it easy to carry it anywhere. It's light weight & really thick. In my opinion it'll make any seat or car seat super comfortable. I drive long distances in much better comfort. I couldn't say enough nice things about this cushion. It's a definite upgrade & a great value for your money. I love it.
