I purchased the 00SSXX security camara system October 2022. I installed six of eight camaras at that time. My property has several outbuildings and about 2 acres of land to cover. I installed three of the camaras outside in the elements and three of the camaras inside the outbuildings. The picture quality of all the camaras is outstanding as is the night vision. I am able to identify people at a distance of 600 feet in daylight and at about 80 feet in the darkness. I live in Michigan where we have harsh, snowy, cold winters and the outdoor camaras worked flawlessly in subzero snowy, slushy conditions without any problems. The outbuildings are about 600 feet from the internet hub that is used. The package comes with two remote antennas that I used for the interior of the outbuildings to boost the signal. They both work extremely well with the external antenna magnetically placed on the outside of the buildings. Set up for the camaras at the base station was intuitive and relatively easy, almost plug and play except for setting preferences for the alerts to my phone / E mail. The only difficulty I had when I got started was getting the camara view on my phone to display in a timely manner. They sent out an update for the app, and that problem disappeared. I would highly recommend this system as an affordable, high quality easy to operate and set up alternative to a subscription system. I am planning on installing the final two camaras inside of the house but have not yet completed that task. Update July 2023 - We were on vacation and an alert came across the phone that intruders were looking in windows and checking doors for security. We called the sheriff's department to intercept, but the intruders had seen our camera set up and hastily left. I returned to the house to meet with the sheriff and was able to provide them with several still photos and six videos from this system that were able to identify the intruders. The sheriff's department posted the videos both on their internet website as well as provided them to the local news station. We are waiting to see what results are provided in the coming days. Needless to say, our neighbors all asked for our system information and will be making several purchases.

I have bought several of these OOSSXX systems and must say I'm very impressed. I bought two additional cameras to add into this eight camera wireless system and everything works with perfect compatibility. They are extremely easy to set up and use. The quality is unquestionable. The system practically sets itself up. Turn on the "brain" of the system (the DVR recorder), plug in the cameras one at a time, and each camera pairs automatically. You can rearrange the order of the cameras after placement so they will display in any order you wish. Early on I had a few questions about operation and spoke with Janet in OOSSXX customer service several times. She is excellent! Often customer service agents treat the customer as idiots, going through useless steps but Janet is not like that. She listens, knows her product and solves the issue quickly. She seems to sincerely care about the customer. I have had many unpleasant experiences with various customer service reps in other companies and Janet is outstanding. I have owned OOSSXX products for about a year now and I am very happy with their quality, reliability and excellent customer service. Recently I had one of my cameras go bad and after discussing it with Janet by phone she simply shipped me a new camera. No arguments, no hassles. Just great customer care. I highly recommend this company and these camera systems specifically. I've actually recommeded several of my friends buy these systems and they love them as well.

This is the second set of this brand of cameras I've bought off of Amazon. Up until shortly after I bought the second set to expand my coverage I started getting inundated with ads. They pop up when you open the app when I switch from one set of cameras to the other some of the ads have 2 "X"s to close these and the ads with just a single x act like you clicked on the ad when you try to close them. This is not how it used to be and I did not pay that much money for a new annoyance. Additionally it would be an improvement to have fast forward and rewind capabilities. Currently there's a slide bar for the time where you want to start watching it starts playing about 15 seconds before where you choose. Which is nice but if your limited on time you need the functionality to increase the speed of the playback. The 2 way audio and alarm are nice features however they aren't very loud. Overall a nice system if you can get past the new ads in your face all the time. I personally can't so I'll be looking to replace them with something else. Additionally I used to recommend these cameras to other people but no longer will because of the ads. I feel betrayed to be honest because the ads didn't used to be there until after I bought the second set. So for me its like I paid for it to become annoying.

I just spent last Saturday installing this system, and the worst part was the actual drilling holes & mounting the cameras. As far as the connectivity and getting the system online, it was child's play. I started off by removing everything from the packaging, much like the video in the listing. Then I connected the receiver/recorder to my 4k television and got my first pleasant surprise; the listing & instructions tell you to connect via LAN cable to your router, but the menu showed a wireless connection setup and it connected right away to my household wireless once I set that up. Now that I had it connected to the web, I brought the first camera to the TV and plugged it in. After a short delay, it was connected and I was able to go into the camera setup and move it to be my camera #1. I then downloaded the app to my phone, set that up, and verified that I could see the current camera view. Now I took the camera upstairs, mounted it from the window opening that I had chosen for camera #1, plugged it in, and was able to use my phone to view it to get it aimed exactly where I wanted it. I repeated this process with each of the next 8 cameras and had the project completed before supper time. The only glitch came when we decided to watch TV. We stream exclusively, no cable or satellite TV, and our Samsung TV connects wirelessly to the modem that's in the diagonally opposite corner of the living room. My connection was horrible and the TV kept falling offline. That's when I found that the TV and the receiver/recorder both connect via 2.4GHz and neither one has the capability to connect via 5GHz. I ended up moving the receiver/recorder to a location next to the modem and connected an old computer monitor I had laying around as a temporary measure. My actual internet connection isn't overloaded with it & the TV, it was just the bandwidth on the 2.4GHz channel that wouldn't handle both. I'm more annoyed at Samsung than I am at this manufacturer at this. As it is, I have ordered & received a 50' roll of cat6 LAN cable and will run it through my basement to get the receiver/recorder connected to my router and be able to use my TV as the display. The wireless cameras age great; I have two mounted on my shop. They are about 90'-100' feet away, have yet to drop signal, and I didn't need to use either of the extenders that came with the system. Very pleased with this setup so far.

Having never had a security system I was unsure where to start. I read tons of reviews and settled on this OOSSXX system, I have not been disappointed! Set Up and Configuration was easy, almost a plug and play format. Upon receipt of the system, I downloaded the PC software first, I wanted to be able to use my PC as well as a stand alone monitor. Once I had the the system setup the way I wanted it, I downloaded the software to my IOS smart phone and I was off and running. Alerts come almost immediately and the video as well as the audio work well. With the 6TB hard drive, I can access Video Playback on the monitor, it is somewhat slow and cumbersome, but it does work. The one area that I'm having problems with is the "cloud". The system would not initialize until I had purchased a cloud option. I did purchase the option, using the provided Device Cloud #/QR code stamped on the Hard Drive. I was notified that the cloud purchase was approved, but I keep getting messages that the cloud option is not available for use, not sure where to go from here. Also, previous comment answers from OOSSXX indicated that the system would operate without the cloud. I assumed that the 6TB Hard Drive would be able to handle playback through my WIFI and Email from the home base to my smart phone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was concerned when I ordered this product because I know nothing about the technology. I was afraid there would be a lot of complicated setup. I was very happy that after I plugged in the cameras and the NVR, that everything connected automatically on it's own and I was immediately viewing video on my monitor. I was also concerned how responsive their customer support would be. I had a few questions and they were responsive every time.

The best thing I liked about this security system was the ease of setup, everything was preloaded, truly plug and play,the picture is sharp and clear and I love the wide angle can see more of your surroundings.This is an update, after using this system since September 2022 has a extremely lot of false human detection,this system even thinks that rain or snow is a human as well as bugs that fly,so when you read in the product description that it has anti false alarms don't believe it ,it's just a selling point, I even have the human detection level set on lowest setting and it still gives false alarm,so if the false human detection is a breaking point don't buy this security camera.Another update this security camera system mic doesn't stay on when there is noise the mic cuts in and out even though there is noise outside, I'm thinking of switching my whole outside security camera system because this one has too many very bad operational points, so buyer beware still away from OOSSXX security camera systems do your research before you buy anything from OOSSXX, I don't recommend this company and I don't recommend their security camera system,stay away
