I purchased the 00SSXX security camara system October 2022. I installed six of eight camaras at that time. My property has several outbuildings and about 2 acres of land to cover. I installed three of the camaras outside in the elements and three of the camaras inside the outbuildings. The picture quality of all the camaras is outstanding as is the night vision. I am able to identify people at a distance of 600 feet in daylight and at about 80 feet in the darkness. I live in Michigan where we have harsh, snowy, cold winters and the outdoor camaras worked flawlessly in subzero snowy, slushy conditions without any problems. The outbuildings are about 600 feet from the internet hub that is used. The package comes with two remote antennas that I used for the interior of the outbuildings to boost the signal. They both work extremely well with the external antenna magnetically placed on the outside of the buildings. Set up for the camaras at the base station was intuitive and relatively easy, almost plug and play except for setting preferences for the alerts to my phone / E mail. The only difficulty I had when I got started was getting the camara view on my phone to display in a timely manner. They sent out an update for the app, and that problem disappeared. I would highly recommend this system as an affordable, high quality easy to operate and set up alternative to a subscription system. I am planning on installing the final two camaras inside of the house but have not yet completed that task. Update July 2023 - We were on vacation and an alert came across the phone that intruders were looking in windows and checking doors for security. We called the sheriff's department to intercept, but the intruders had seen our camera set up and hastily left. I returned to the house to meet with the sheriff and was able to provide them with several still photos and six videos from this system that were able to identify the intruders. The sheriff's department posted the videos both on their internet website as well as provided them to the local news station. We are waiting to see what results are provided in the coming days. Needless to say, our neighbors all asked for our system information and will be making several purchases. ... show more

    • Better resolution, wider view, stronger wifi and a working app for less money than my old system!

I really like this system as it has good video resolution with a wider field of view than my older system of 5 years and those had 1080p cameras. The app works versus my old one stopped after one phone update so fingers crossed it will keep performing. The app seems simple which is good and function speed seems to depend on your internet connection. The videos display can be vertical or landscape by rotating and you can zoom to an individual camera by double tapping ans. Zoom in from there with more taps. The speaker seems to work, but I don’t know if I’ll really use it. The signal of these cameras is stronger than my old wifi one as I just replaced camera for camera position and have had no loss in signal or the need of an accessory antenna which I did with my old system. The install was straightforward with a small hiccup of a pre-installed PW but customer service (phone) helped me correct it and then I completed the setup. I hoped I could use the old mounting screw holes but the base is larger here and so I drilled 2 new holes per camera position (4). Each camera needs its own power plug and the video feed is via wifi and I had already worked that out with my previous system. Also, I already had a good monitor for system from my previous one, otherwise you should get a high resolution monitor to take advantage of the cameras’ clarity. For the money, this camera system is hard to beat with the 2 TB hard drive, as long as you don’t mind drilling and running some wires for your house.     • Best wireless camera system I have ever had.
Living in a house built in 1959 is a challenge when it came to installing a security surveillance system. There is no way I would even consider ripping walls open to install cables. However, the one good thing they did back in the day was to install outside electrical outlets on every corner of every wall of the outside of the house. Some walls, if they are extended in length, have 2 outlets. Therefor since I learned about their existence, I have been using wireless camera systems for approximately 10 years. This OOSSXX was the third system I have installed and by far the best ever. With the others I continuously struggled with WIFI connectivity due to range and walls that were built with metal mesh inside of them. I tried repeaters and WIFI amplifiers but nothing seemed to resolve the connection problems. And when they were on, the images were jumpy and would skip for many seconds at a time. I almost decided to just not deal with them anymore. Then a friend of mine told me that I should look into cameras with dual antennas. He said that these cameras increase the range and signal strength and should be receptive enough to resolve my connection issues. So I thought I would invest one more time in a wireless surveillance system. He was right. The OOSSXX was as easy to install as all the rest. I installed the cameras in the same location as all the others and have had no issues with connectivity. The video is clear and precise and in real time with only a fraction of a second of lag time. As well, for the first time I have cameras with two-way communication, a big plus from the previous systems. As well the NVR is easy to navigate. however, I have yet to figure out the functions of the remote. Although I have only had the system up and running for about a week, at this point I can't say enough good things about this OOSSXX system and would recommend it to anyone who has the issues I have, or even if you don't have my issues, this system is great for the price. ... show more
