I recently added a couple more sets (three pictured here in total) as my tree continues to grow and expand. One of the controllers from an older set quit remembering its last mode used when powered off and on so I replaced it with the controller from the new set and had it power two strings in series. When you string these together (you can run up to 3 on a single supply) the lights are slightly less bright than having them individually powered. The benefit of series lighting, however, is you end up with a spare controller and power supply should something fail in the future. The instructions suggest the controllers be kept away from direct exposure to water so I may wrap them inside a plastic baggie to help keep them dry. ... show more

I LOVE these lights! I've always wanted purple lights but most of the time they are a little too blueish or pastel. These aren't. I bought 2 just encase I needed more lights in my tree. My tree is just 6 ft and one strand worked perfectly. It's not too much and it's not too little, for me at least. They can stay solid or have several ways to twinkle. 10/10 would recommend! 💜 ... show more

Gotta say I'm a bit impressed. Bought these on a whim 4 years ago, strung them up outdoors on the patio, and they have lasted 4 years through ice, snow, blizzards, heat, rain, thunderstorms, and a few deracho's. Excellent, bright purple lights. I love the different light functions this offers (twinkling, fading, etc). It is easy to attach multiple extensions to cover the whole house. I have been buying them check by check until I almost have the entire house with those lights for Halloween, and I think the lights are worth every cent they cost. I had these on a railing under a covered porch. It rained and the wind blew the rain on them and they never had a problem. I love how bright they are and that there are multiple light settings.
