I really wanted to like this product more than I do. Let me start by saying that I actually bought this to use in our kitchen because we have SO many metal utensils. In terms of that, there is ample space for wall storage of metal items and that's very good. But the weird and frustrating part is as follows: (1) You'd better like the company logo/name sticker that's on the front of organizer facing you - because it's a sticker that will NOT come off - even with highly potent solvents. After about an hour of soaking and scrubbing and peeling and scraping, I'm left with 5 side by side magnets and a LOT of glue gunk. If the label was a bit nicer, maybe I could deal with it, but it just looks like the label sticker that products have for store display - not for on your actual wall to look at regularly; (2) May I mention that not everyone wants to look at your logo/company name, so please don't use a sticker that literally will take hours to remove; (3) the two rounded ends are of a very solid plastic. But weirdly, the screws that come with the organizers barely make it into the wall and just barely connect with the plastic anchor. So until I can go buy longer screws, the tool organizer doesn't look nice and solid - it's hanging from the wall looking like it could come down at any moment. But I just could not get that screw to go in any further. (4) Overall I like the look of this product, and with a few tweaks, they could have something awesome that could go beyond the garage. They're just not quite there yet, unless you're willing to do a bit of work to get it right once the product arrives.

This is, as others have pointed out, a terrible product. The paper labels attached to the magnets tear off as soon as you removed the bundling tape, leaving the bar looking pretty ugly (how was this not caught it testing, or maybe it was and the company just doesn't care enough), and while that's not too critical in home shop environment, the fact that these bars hold next to no weight is. The product description claims "Heavy-duty magnetic bar can hold several individual tools weighing up to 5 lbs each", but this is not the case. In my initial use I found that tools like wrenches tended to slip down after being put on the bar, so I decided to see how it would deal with a single cast-iron dumbell plate. With the magnet facing downwards, the bar will hold the plate (and keep in mind that the plate covers the majority of the bar allow really optimal use of the most magnets, but as soon as I turn the magnetic face into the vertical position, the test weight slides off. So under best conditions, this magnet will not hold a single 5lb weight, let alone several. If you are looking for a good magnetic tool bar, try the various Master Magnetics products; also available from Amazon.

Oct. 28, 2019; received (4) 12" magnetic bars with removable end caps. I'm comparing these to the 18" US General (HF) that I purchased in the past. Quality is on par; although the "HT 12" Magnetic Tool Bar" logo/lettering may annoy some. What surprised me (perhaps because I did not read the description closely) are the removable end caps that give the bars a 1/2" back space behind the bars to allow for more small tools if desired. Otherwise remove the caps and mount the bars flush with the surface. I find this to be a nice option! As I sometimes find pegboards have less usable space I make small tool boxes that are screwed to 1/2" plywood. The fronts of these boxes seem to be the perfect place for a magnetic strips and small, frequently used bits, etc... The 12" length and removable end caps are great for my needs.

Yes it's true that there's extra stickers wrapping the bars together and they make a mess but I followed another reviewer and covered the writing with electrical tape to make them solid black and it looks great also I didn't use the mounting brackets because I mounted them directly onto some very this wood with glue and tiny screws. Here they are holding my tools inside my craft box.

These seem to be well built and have strong enough magnet hold just about any screwdriver, wrench or pliers. I have mine mounted on cupboard doors and everything still holds fine when opening and closing the door.s I don't let the sticker issue bother me. Its on there and I intend to leave it on there. So what. To bash this product because a sticker is difficult to remove is extremely picky to say the least.

Functionally it works well. The magnets are strong enough for the job. The down side is that they put these stickers on them that don't come off. When you try to remove them they just come apart and leave a mess. If you're looking for something that looks clean and cool this isn't it. If you don't care about the way they look then they are OK. Also, I'm not sure why most of these have to but labels saying 12' tool bar. Seems pretty silly. I think we know what we bought. A cleaner look would be much nicer.

These things are absolutely fantastic for organizing those tools that come in series/several different sizes. As you can see in the picture I'm using for screwdrivers, wrenches, and other misc. tools. I had the screwdrivers and wrenches in my pegboard. This looks much more organized (in my opinion) and it makes the tools easier to grab/put back. They were super easy to mount. The magnet is strong enough for the larger tools I was planning on hanging from these (VISE/Locking pliers and a large crescent wrench - both around half a pound) Kind of doubt it would hold up a hammer, but I didn't try. I'd been eyeballing these for awhile and luckily bought them when they were under 20 bucks. For the current price of 30-ish, they seem a little expensive, but still worth it. I was going to buy another set for my garage re-org, but decided I didn't need it when I saw the price had gone up by 10 bucks.

These are great. Being a hobbist living in an apartment, you learn to go vertical with storage. These can help by making use of the walls for tool storage. Just remember that tools over time will become magnetized over time, so don't be a dork like me and store your files on it as it gets hard to clean metal shavings off them.
