I'm a traveling musician who uses an Android wifi tablet for my music. I bought this well priced WiFi hotspot device so I wouldn't have to use my phone as a WiFi hotspot. My cell phone service here in the USA is through Consumer Cellular, which uses the AT&T and T-Mobile networks for coverage. I ordered a sim card and once it arrived, installed it into the WiFi Hotspot Router. However, although the device recognized the sim card, I wasn't getting service. I called Consumer Cellular customer service and the stated it could be a compatibility issue. I decided to contact the seller to see if there was anything else I could do to get the device online before asking for a return and refund. The seller responded within hours with a troubleshooting document to assist me. The issue was with the APN. Once I followed the instructions and changed the default APN to the one used by Consumer Cellular, I was online in no time. I connected the device directly to my tablet via a USB-C cable and the sheer speed of songs loading through my music app were so good they astonished me. Had it for awhile. Works good provided there's AT&T and T-Mobile towers. I turn it off when I don't need it to save power. Searched YouTube for Sim card install and setup.

It doesn't come with a SIM, so I popped in my own data card. The 5-7 hour battery is accurate – it lasted my entire cross-country flight. Remember to get your APN settings from your carrier beforehand. The USB charging means I can juice it up anywhere. Highly recommend for travelers!
