  • STRONG, DURABLE, FUN KAYAK
Style: Classic
Great size for one person. I’m 5’10”, 220 lbs. and plenty of room. May be small for tall, long legged people. Very stable. Tracks well with good paddling technique. The keel works well. Light, easily carried by one person when inflated. I have a hand pump with pressure gauge from a drop stitch kayak, works well to accurately get 2 lbs. pressure. Would recommend one over the foot pump that comes with it. The floor has a release to prevent over inflation, works great. The seat gets blown up with just 4-5 breaths, easy. Adjust the seat right and it’s comfortable. I paddled for hours while fishing an alpine lake in Oregon. The kayak is durable. Easy to get in and out of once you figure it out. I like it. Takes a lot of pumps to inflate as do both of my kayaks. I will buy a battery powered inflator and give this old body a break. This was half the price of my drop stitch kayak and I like it just as well. The biggest differences: the drop stitch paddles and tracks a bit better, only a bit. This kayak is a quite a bit more stable in waves than the drop stitch. Overall, this is a quality kayak, very durable. Only needs a better inflation device. ... show more

  • Durable, easy set up inflatable tandem kayak
Style: Tandem
Inflates easily as per instructions. Tracks reasonably well with good speed for an inflatable kayak. Seats were comfortable with mouth inflated bottoms and moderate back support. Tends to have slightly more water entry than a hard shell kayak. Need to dry carefully when deflated as water accumulates in folds. Deflates rapidly with easy folding into quarters. Somewhat heavy but can be carried by the handles by one person when folded and placed in supplied carrying bag. Overall, appears to be well-constructed as per Pelican brand. ... show more

  • Can't be the value for the price
Style: Classic
Can't beat the value for the price of this product. It's not as good as some other inflatable kayaks, but at half the price it's great. It floats, it's stable, it moves well in the water with the provided paddle, and we have enjoyed using it. There are a few things I don't like, however: The pump it comes with is just okay. I've tossed it aside and used a much better pump I got with a higher quality kayak. That said, inflation is very easy with a better pump I wish there was a bungee on the back like there is on the front It only has one fin, which makes it track somewhat poorly, and turns a lot in the wind One minor note that I guess is a con is that the seat inflates by blowing into it and doesn't have a one way valve. Overall, for the price, I think this is a great kayak and I would buy it again if I was looking for something in this price range. ... show more

  • Easy to transport & store
Style: Tandem
I love this inflatable kayak compared to traditional kayaks. It is super easy to inflate and deflate and so much fun on the water. My husband and I take it out on the lake to go fishing. The material is super durable, even though I was skeptical at first. Super easy to transport and assemble/inflate. No water leak problems after 1 season…great value compared to traditional double kayaks. ... show more

  • Great purchase
Style: Classic
We love them! The only thing I would change is the strap/buckle for the seat. It can be in the way when you paddle.

  • A great inflatable 2-person kayak!!!
Style: Tandem
The Pelican iESCAPE 110 inflatable tandem kayak is a great choice for those who want an easily portable and great quality inflatable two-person kayak. We have a boat and were looking for a small inflatable that we could use to get to the mooring to an uninhabited island that we frequently visit when we go out in the boat. Having a full-sized two-person kayak on-board our boat wasn't a great option as we don't have enough room to store it on our boat. The kayak inflates easily enough, just unfold it and there are 3 air chambers, the bottom air chamber and the two 2 side air chambers. The bottom or floor air chamber inflates pretty quickly to a maximum of 1 PSI and the two side air chambers inflate to a maximum 2 PSI. I did not use the included air manual air pump as I have a battery powered air pump that connected perfectly to the valves on the kayak and inflated it automatically to the correct pressure. The seats can be inflated by blowing on the tube valves (the same sort of ones used to inflate the airplane emergency lift vests) and are quick and easy to inflate. The last time we used the kayak, my daughters had friends over and were able to get 4 teenaged kids on the kayak and had a ton of fun playing in it. The really nice thing I like about this kayak is the ease of stowing it away. To deflate it, just twist the valves to open them and then flatten them out to force the air out of them. To deflate the rest of the kayak, just unscrew the main valves from the 3 chambers and the air will rush out. The trick is to make sure that the two side chambers are folded in towards the center of the kayak before rolling/folding it up starting at the end opposite of the valves. This will force out the remaining air and the kayak should now easily store in the included bag. Two small "issues" that I noticed was that if you choose to leave the kayak inflated and store it right side up on an outside shelf, it tends to collect rain. There is a plug on the bottom rear of the kayak but it is located a little high up so the kayak tends to retain quite a bit of water even if the plug is left open. I guess they located the plug here to minimize drag while in the water, but it is probably best to remember to store the kayak upside down if you aren't going to deflate it and store it away properly. The other small "issue" is that the bag doesn't appear to have any pockets on it. It would be nice if the bag had at least one waterproof pocket to store the repair kit and manual with the kayak. Overall, this is a great quality kayak and I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • the seats are not capable of any back support
Style: Tandem
the kayak is ok, the seats make it unusable. they do not provide back support to tall or short people, move forward or bakck. the seat back straps seem to be so low on the attachment to the back that the rider falls back with any movement
