  • [43-Pound Solid Build] Gasbye DryPrime dehumidifier pulls up to 115 pints/day at 86F, 80% RH, 73 pints/day at 80F, 60% RH, and 50 pints/day at 65F, 60% RH. Since we dont inflate the pints/day performance figures, what you see is what you get. Dimensions: 11" D 15" W 24" H, which may be larger compared to some other "mini" models with inflated pints/day ratings
  • [Thickened Copper Tubing, Built to Last] Gasbye DryPrime 2026 uses reinforced copper tubing for improved durability and long-term reliability. It was designed to solve a common problem in todays dehumidifier market: units that fail after only 12 years
  • [Energy Star 2026 Certified for High Efficiency] Gasbye DryPrime dehumidifiers deliver up to 30% more energy efficiency compared to non-Energy Star models. Perfect for large spaces like basements, garages, and living rooms, all while keeping energy costs low. Energy Star Unique ID: 3417537
  • [45dB Quiet Compressor] The DryPrime dehumidifier operates at around 45dB and is relatively quiet, making it ideal for medium to large spaces like basements, garages, and living rooms. In these areas, it wont disturb you while chatting with family, watching TV, or relaxing on the sofa
  • [Smart Humidity Control Auto Shut-Off & Restart] The compressor of the unit automatically shuts off when the humidity drops 3% below your set target, and restarts when it rises 3% above. After the compressor shuts down, the fan runs briefly to take advantage of residual coil cooling for continued dehumidification and improved energy efficiency. The unit also automatically resumes its previous settings after a power outage
  • [3 Drainage Options] Choose from a spacious 1.7Gal tank for manual drainage, an included 5-foot drain hose for direct connection to floor drains, or connect a standard 3/4-inch garden hose to the threaded drain outlet on the back of the unit for a longer drainage setup
  • [2-Year Quality Coverage and & Fast U.S. Support] If your unit ever develops a quality issue, you can contact Gasbye Support directly for a FULL REFUND or FREE REPLACEMENT. Description

Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store We value transparency over exaggeration. That's why we provide lab-tested dehumidification capacities in three environments for your informed choice: ·115 pints/day at 86°F, 80% RH ·73 pints/day at 80°F, 60% RH ·50 pints/day at 65°F, 60% RH [2-Year Quality Coverage] If you chose our dehumidifier based on a statement in our listing and feel it doesn't meet your expectations after use, you can contact Gasbye Support for a FULL REFUN𝗗 or 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 REPLACEMENT. In addition, all replacement units we provide are BRAND NEW, not refurbished. Q1. How can I compare the true dehumidifying capacity of different dehumidifiers? A1. Check the weight! Why? A dehumidifier's performance largely depends on the amount of 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 inside. More 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 means better dehumidifying power and energy efficiency. So, how can a lightweight unit claim such high capacity? The trick is that dehumidifying capacity varies with temperature and humidity—the higher these are, the more effective the unit appears. For example, the Gasbye DryPrime-50 model, weighing 43 pounds, pulls up to 115 pints/day at 86°F, 80% RH, 73 pints/day at 80°F, 60% RH, and 50 pints/day at 65°F, 60% RH. Some dehumidifiers claim 52 pints/day at 86°F, 80% RH but weigh just 34.6 pounds. Others even claim 100 pints/day at an extreme 95°F, 90% RH yet weigh only 30.9 pounds. You'll find that these lightweight models highlight their performance in high-temperature, high-humidity conditions to show inflated numbers. If you compare the dehumidifying capacity under the same temperature and humidity conditions, I’m confident you’ll see that Gasbye dehumidifiers offer great value for the price. We don’t mislead customers by labeling a mini-sized unit as a 100 pint/day dehumidifier (measured at 95°F, 90% RH) and then charging you over $200 for it. Q2. Does the warm air from a dehumidifier increase AC costs in summer? Why do some dehumidifiers emit more warm air than others? A2. Dehumidifiers work similarly to air conditioners, which also emit warm air during operation. Although this warm air slightly increases the AC's cooling energy use, it reduces the AC's dehumidification burden. By letting your air conditioner (2000-3000 watts) focus on cooling rather than dehumidifying, running a dehumidifier (500 watts) will typically lower your overall energy bill. Stronger dehumidifiers emit more warm air, while weaker ones emit less. We’ve observed that some consumers are pleased when their new dehumidifier emits less warm air than their old one. However, this often simply means that the new unit has a lower dehumidifying capacity. As mentioned above, the amount of warm air emitted by the dehumidifier does not increase your electricity bill. In fact, it can actually reduce it (counterintuitive but true—you can search for more information if interested.) Q3. What's the difference between 300-500 watt compressor dehumidifiers and 60-100 watt semiconductor-based dehumidifiers? Which is more energy-efficient? A3. In terms of cooling technology, compressor dehumidifiers are 5-6 times more efficient than semiconductor-based ones. Although a semiconductor-based dehumidifier consumes only 60-100 watts and seems more energy-efficient, you would need a bunch of them to effectively dehumidify a space larger than 300 sq ft. In contrast, a single 300-500 watt compressor dehumidifier can quickly reduce the humidity in a large room. Q4. What environments are Gasbye compressor-based dehumidifiers suitable for? A4. The Gasbye DryPrime-50 is a compressor-based dehumidifier with an internal compressor that causes vibrations and noise. It operates at around 45dB and is relatively quiet, making it ideal for medium to large spaces like basements, garages, and spacious living rooms. In these areas, it won’t disturb you while working or watching TV. However, it’s not recommended for use in small spaces like bedrooms. Q5. Why do dehumidifiers on the market seem less durable, often breaking down after just a year of use? A5. The most expensive component in a dehumidifier is the copper tubing. To cut costs, many brands make the tubes thinner, but thin copper is more likely to crack under the compressor’s constant vibration, leading to refrigerant leaks and failure. While it’s hard to see tubing thickness directly, weight is a good clue — heavier units usually mean sturdier materials. Our Gasbye DryPrime-50 weighs 43 lbs, a sign that we don’t cut corners. As a small brand, we focus on quality and fast support rather than big marketing budgets. You can trust Gasbye — we stand firmly behind our products, and if you check our customer 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀, you'll see our U.S. support team usually 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝟖 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬

I was pleasantly surprised by the Gasbye 500 de-humidifier . It arrived well packaged and the box is easier to take out . I didn`t have any trouble with the removal of the water tank at all ; I guess Amazon kept it upright on delivery . The equipment finish itself is in a glossy black plastic , very elegant (I was weary of being a matte black metal thing worth of a basement of garage) but this thing can be placed perfectly on the family room or living room(photos) and look great on it . The instructions are labeled on top and have tabs to lift out , which I did , The regular instruction book is very well done and well thought out , easy to understand . It`s been working for only 3 hours after the 24 hours settlement as instructed and it has already lowered the humidity from 65 to 50 which is the setting I put on it . It is on Normal setting so I guess it will stop any moment now . The equipment consume only 500 watts so it is perfect for a connection on a regular 15amp outlet . Noise is very minimum , another worry that it is now gone . While the compressor is working the noise is very , very minimum almost unnoticeable at 5 feet from it , so I am elated . I sent the warranty email to [email protected] last night and Amy already replied ... fantastic . I honestly think that I made a good buy on an excellent quality product with a reputable company . I hope it will last for many years to come . Frankly , the equipment exudes quality ... Although it only has been working for a few fours , I think it would have no problems for years , so , so far , I am very pleased with it . Thanks, Amy for a fast reply . ... show more

  • The little engine that could

If you are thinking about this dehumidifier, get it. You won't be disappointed, at least I wasn't and am not. I live in an old house (1922) which has a halfway unfinished basement where my washer and drier are located. The way the house was built, when it rains water drains right through the basement. My house is kind of built on the side of a hill so the water doesn't puddle it moves but it stays damp in the basement and it's NC so it's humid as all get out most of the summer. Anyway, I have lived here for over 20 years and have been through quite a lot of dehumidifiers. They are heavy and cumbersome and never last as long as you want them to. I've only had this one for a month and I'm already impressed. First off, reading the reviews on the company and the customer support was a big YES from my standpoint. All of the other dehumidifiers I've had.. yeah, no one is helping with anything. You bought it.. good luck! Before I ever received this I received an email stating this machine makes noise and if it's too loud when you start using it return it. I mean, huh? They care? Holy moly. Well, it's in my basement, under my bedroom. I 100% cannot hear it in my bedroom. It's actually one of the more quiet machines I have owned. Now, if you had it next to the couch while you were watching a movie would it be annoying? Maaaybe. It's more of a sound machine sound to me when I'm next to it in the basement. Secondly, it is super easy to set up. I did let it rest in the position I wanted it in for 24 hours per the directions, this is necessary to make sure the coolant has settled, do this.. it makes the things work better. I ended up getting the 4500 sq foot one. Is it too big for my 1500 square foot house, probably, but I've had better luck with bigger machines than smaller. I like the way it has different modes you can put it in. I've had this one on turbo for a few weeks and it's rather quickly taking the humidity from the 90s down to the 60s (yeah, I went a few weeks without one while reading reviews on Amazon to find this one). I set up the continuous drain and it works like a charm. The hose does get some condensation on it because of the coolant so if you're using this in a finished area just be cognizant of that. Because it was delivered USPS they would not deliver it to my house, I had to go pick it up at the post office. It really isn't that heavy. I was worried and took someone with me to get it and I could have picked it up.. it's maybe 40 lbs, I got it home and in to the basement without any issue. It is mailed with strapping around the box so picking it up was easier than just fumbling around with a big dehumidifier box. It does have a two year warranty, if something happens to it I will be reaching out to customer support. In the meantime I'm crossing my fingers it works the way it is working now. It's quite the work horse. ... show more

  • Easy set up, great instructions, water extraction began quickly, looks great
Color: Black Style: Standard
Four week review... but first, kudos to the driver of the Amazon Prime truck, the young lady, after verifying I was the recipient (extra work, but nice feature Amazon), pulled it out of the truck, put it on her shoulder, crossed the street and deposited it on my porch. Which was more amazing when I went to move it, and discovered I had to roll it into the house! So, first impressions, the shipping box (not the one Amazon put it in) was sturdy, and strapped together, cut the straps and the box lifted off, no lifting it out. Clear instructions everywhere. The manual even more so, clear, well written, English ! First instruction was to leave it sitting, upright, for 24 hrs. The unit is finished in shinny black, very nice. There are also several stickers attached with all the operating info needed right on top. They also have tabs so they can be easily removed to not distract from the appearance. I kept them, very useful to have the instructions handy. Also, no set up required, it comes with a handle to lift it, that folds down. Attach the hose, plug it in, that’s it. Well, there was one minor hitch, after all the rolling around, the included hose attachment, that’s shipped in the water container, had gotten lodged, jamming the container, which took a bit to release. Once it sat for 24hr, I turned it on and away we went. I’m impressed how quickly water started being extracted, and since the drain tube is clear, fun to see it working. So, I’m very impressed, someone(s) put in a lot of effort to create a superb manual, posting needed instructions in clear view, a proper shipping container, and great looking, to top it off. I can only assume the unit was designed/built with the same care. Noise, fan is all you hear. By the time you’ve gotten to these reviews, you already know about the “best efficiency” award, features like auto restart if power failure (with saved settings), delayed restart of compressor, working temp 41-90 & 35%-80% humidity levels .... In addition, sending the Amazon order number & serial number to [email protected] extends the 1yr warranty to 2 yrs, and adds a 5yr warranty for refrigerant leakage, they then replied with a very nice email ... thank you Amy. Wrapping up, everything about this purchase gets a 5 star plus rating. ... show more

  • Best Customer Service Ever!!!
Color: Black Style: Standard
I purchased the Gasbye 4500 Sq.Ft. Energy Star Dehumidifier and it worked extremely well for about five months. It kept the humidity down exactly as expected, ran quietly, and was very easy to use. Unfortunately, after several months it stopped working properly. I contacted customer service about the issue and was honestly very impressed with how they handled everything. Amy, the customer service representative, responded the very same day and made the entire process simple and stress-free. She was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole experience. Without any hassle, they sent me a higher-grade replacement model at absolutely no expense to me. That level of customer service is hard to find these days. Even though I experienced an issue with the original unit, the company stood behind their product and took care of the problem quickly and professionally. Because of Amy and the outstanding customer support, I would absolutely buy from this company again. ... show more

  • Best working dehumidifier I’ve had in 27 years.
Color: Black Style: Standard
I was hesitant to buy an off brand dehumidifier from amazon even after reading reviews. I was reading about the equipment and the heavier coils thinking yeah bullhockey but for the price difference and easy returns I went ahead and ordered. Recvd item and packaging was VERY durable and evidently treated well by Amazon employees. Let me just go ahead and say this is the best dehumidifier I’ve had in my finished basement in 27 years, this thing is a BOSS it’s more like a commercial unit. I have had EVERY brand that Lowe’s and Home Depot carries and they don’t last and didn’t work 1/2 as well as this unit. These heavier coils draw down faster which equals less run time oh and let me add that I am running on low speed which is VERY quiet compared to running all the other brands on Turbo and not being able to hear anything. I used to run 2 units in my basement but with this one running I’m not getting much running or water dumping from the 2nd unit because this one is taking the smoke..This thing is quiet and a boss so just buy it. Only reason for the 4 stars is that it’s got one of those stiff Chinese cords on it, just charge me 2$ more and put a nice rubber 8’ cord on it.. BEAST MACHINE. ... show more

  • An Excellent Experience!
Color: Black Style: Standard
For over 50 years I have been battling humidity in the unfinished basement of my home, which happens to be an enormous old schoolhouse. Every so often, I have purchased two new dehumidifiers to replace those that ceased to operate properly. By now, the basement resembles a dehumidifier graveyard with half a centuries worth of dead humidifiers still sitting around. Recently, I ordered two more. Studying Amazon, I was surprised to see how many strange new brand names have appeared, since the days when most were either Frigidaire or GE. So, I ordered a pair that looked like a bargain to me. When they arrived, I left one at the front door and dragged the other to the basement to see how it performed. Setting it up was daunting. The instructions were minute. It required two pair of glasses and a magnifying glass to read them. The written instructions and the images did not match up. The symbols on the humidifier did not match the direction and were small and difficult to see. Two hours later I got it running and set the fan to its highest speed and the desired humidity at 50. The indicator on the unit read 88 to begin. Four days later, after running constantly the humidity had come down to 73. I contacted Amazon and requested them to pick up both machines. This proved to be painless and easy. Now I had to study the internet again. That was when the Gasbye 4500 Sq. Ft. Energy Star Dehumidifier caught my eye. I was immediately attracted to the elegant black design, The ad itself was attractive and inviting. I liked the copy and the descriptions and the photography. The videos I managed to find were appealing, So; I ordered two units. I found myself even a little excited as waited two days for them to arrive. When they did, I opened one to test it, as I had done the last ones. Wow! What a difference! The package itself was impressive, cleverly constructed, and easy to open up. The unit itself was easy on the eyes, an exquisite design. Then I tried to open the water drawer, and it wouldn’t budge! I struggled with it for an hour and got nowhere. So, fearing that I might break something, I gave up, and went to the computer. The easy to read instructions featured an email address for the support department, so, I sent them an email explaining my dilemma. As it was night already, I hoped that I would hear from somebody the next day. Two hours later, I was surprised to receive a friendly email from a young lady named Amy. She explained That the unit must have been turned upside down in shipping causing the inner handle to raise up and prevent the door from opening, She not only explained the easy remedy, but she sent a video illustrating the simple process. Needless to say, I was impressed. With Amy’s video to guide me the drawer opened easily. Then I carried the unit downstairs, plugged the transparent hose into the floor drain and turned the unit on! WOW! I was amazed! It burst into action, already set at turbo speed, which was exactly what I wanted. I pressed another easy to see button to set the desired humidity to 50, and there was nothing more to do. It was working instantly and perfectly. Almost disappointed that it was too easy, I simply left it there and went back upstairs. I returned the next day to discover that the humidity was already down to 50! I love this dehumidifier, and I believe that you will love it too! And if you have any problems with it, just email Amy and she will rescue you! ... show more

  • Really, really good customer service
Color: Black Style: Standard
I don't normally order a dehumidifier online for they can get rather abused by the shipping carriers and so what would normally be a good dehumidifier winds up breaking down well before its time. Well. . .it seems in my neck of the woods everyone was needing a dehumidifier at the time so nothing much was available locally. Hesitantly, I did some looking on Amazon to see if I could find one that was within my criteria of what I needed. After spending a good amount of time, I settled on this make and model. Once received, I pulled it out of the box and followed the recommendation of letting it sit upright for at least 24 hours. . .I let it sit for 28. The first thing that came to my mind when I had the unit fully out of the box was, "This really is a nice looking dehumidifier. . .and it doesn't seem cheap either." I've had many dehumidifiers in the past that had plastic so cheap that I bet if I had sneezed on it something would have cracked — not this one. After waiting the designated time frame, I started it up. Does it make noise? Yes, it does, like all dehumidifiers do; no such things as a "quiet" one. It is, however, not has noisy as others similar in size and capability. It rolls effortlessly, the controls are very simple to use and it comes with a manual, which is pretty straight forward. As for the water reservoir, it takes a little effort to pull out from the unit, especially when full, but it is pretty much on par with all the other dehumidifiers I've had in the past. For two days, it ran perfectly, filling up the reservoir in several hours. I was really impressed. Unfortunately, on the third day, frost started to build up heavily and would not defrost from the grills in the back, thus diminishing its dehumidifying capabilities. This wasn't good. I did some diagnostics on my own, but nothing seemed to make a difference, so I contacted the company and explained the issue and uploaded a photo of the frost buildup. The rep, Amy, got back to me later that day and said during shipping the unit might have lost some coolant and thus why it is frosting up so quickly. She wanted my SN off the back of the unit and my name and address for verification. After submitting the requested info, she got back to me and told me she is contacting the warehouse so they could send me a new one and I should receive it in five days; I got it in four. Wow. . .that is good service. No hassle, no nonsense. . .just a smooth experience. As I stated earlier in my review, many times dehumidifiers fail before their time not because of being a cheap product, but because of the rough housing by these shipping carriers (I remember when FedEx delivered my $2500 computer: the driver was flip-flopping it around the truck like it was a rubber tire. . .grrrrr. . .). This is no fault of the companies that make good products. Regardless of how well-made something is or how well it is packaged, prolonged rough handling will negatively affect pretty much any kind of electrical unit or equipment. It's basic physics. With that said, although I do not know how long this new dehumidifier will work, not knowing how durable the internal components are or how roughly jostled it was during shipping this second time around, for the company to say that they "stand by their products" and them giving me the excellent service that they did tells me they believe they have built a solid and dependable dehumidifier. From my experience, I have to concur. Thank you, Gasbye, for your respectful service. ... show more

  • Outstanding Performance!
Color: Black Style: Standard
Outstanding performance which is better than all other dehumidifiers I've purchased over the years in this price range. Unfortunately, the others didn't last very long due to leaking freon which seems to be a common problem these days. This unit is solid and well built with corrosion protection on the copper coils which should help extend its life expectancy. It easily maintains 50% humidity level in my 1,000 sq ft basement as it shuts off around 49%, back on around 51%. Before I set up the hose to drain, I tested it by lowering the humidity level 40% and I got 2 full buckets of water in 24 hours... amazing performance. The bucket holds 1.7 gallons of water. It has a 2 year warranty once registered which they responded to my registration email within 30 minutes. So far... I highly recommend this company and their product. ... show more
