Style: Spray Wax
I'm a long-time user of Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax (also sold under the name Meguiar's D15601 Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax). It's a synthetic sealant, and is my go-to. To date, it had been easiest-to-use spray sealant I could find. I'd spray it on paint, windows, trim, etc - during and/or after the drying process. I've had a really hard time finding good comparisons between those products, and the newer Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax. Here's my take so far. As far as ease-of-use, the nod still goes to Ultimate Quik Wax. It leaves no residue unless you WAY over-apply it. It leaves a beautiful finish, and a surprisingly nice wet look that rivals a lot of traditional waxes. In full sun, it still works very well and resists streaking. In comparison, the new Hybrid Ceramic Spray wax is quite a bit thicker (make sure you shake the bottle frequently). What I like about the Hybrid Ceramic wax is that it seems to last longer, and leave the paint even slicker than Ultimate Quik Wax. It also has a very nice depth and gloss, giving the paint a shockingly good glow and candy look. It also darkens plastic quite well, noticeably better than Quik Wax. It has a good amount of fillers in it that will help to mask swirl marks and light scratches. Hybrid Ceramic is somewhat more prone to streaking, but it is very manageable due to how water-friendly the product is. If you're getting streaking you either have too much spray per panel, or not enough water on the panel, or both. I keep a spray bottle of distilled water handy to help eliminate any streaks that show up (the most common place is the windows). Just spritz the water and wipe with a clean microfiber. I also found that it helps to work in small sections and to NOT let the product dry before you wipe it off. I still use both Ultimate Quik Wax and Hybric Ceramic Spray Wax. I use the Ultimate 1) if I'm out in the sun, 2) It's really cold (the Hybric seems almost too thick to apply in the winter), or I'm in a hurry (because it's thinner and pretty much never streaks). I use Hybric Ceramic 1) if I'm in the shade, 2) if my plastic trim is getting lighter, or 3) I just want to take the time to apply a longer lasting coat of protection. Both are outstanding products that are great to work with - texture, smell, and ease of results. I've tried a bunch of other spray wax products, and always find myself coming back to Meguiar's. Update January 2024: I've updated my application method a bit after finding this method online. I take my clean microfiber and dunk it in distilled water, and then wring it out. After washing and rinsing the vehicle, I'll spray the Hybrid Ceramic on a panel, spread it around with the damp microfiber, and then wipe it dry with a clean microfiber. This seems to get very even coverage and lessens the chance of streaking. It's super easy. I also tried Griot's 3-in-1 ceramic spray wax. It seems to last just as long as the Megs Hybrid Ceramic, and also seems to resist dust better. However, the appearance is nowhere near as good as the Meguiar's. The Megs has much more glow, pop, and show-car finish. To get that with the Griot's, I have to polish beforehand (which takes vastly more time and I only do once every year or two). I use the Griot's if I know I'm going somewhere very dusty, such as a desert camping trip. Otherwise I'm sticking with Meguiar's.

Style: Spray Wax
Florida sun is tough on car wax. This wax is very easy to apply, doesn't require buffing and will withstand the Florida sun for about 6 months "Wipe-on, Wipe-off". I am not a fanatic about my car's gloss, I just want something that looks good and protect the paint. Great value.

Beware of the sprayer!!! It leaks all the time!! Terrible!! But, once I replaced the sprayer with another one (see photo of bottle with replacement sprayer), the product went on easily and wiped off easily. Don't yet know about longevity, but it cleaned up water spots and car looks shiny.

For the last 12 years I have been using a spray wax called Final Detail, which was super easy to apply and left a terrific mirror finish and great protection on my car. That company went out of business, so I wasn't sure what I should buy. As a fan of Meguiar's products, and after reading endless reviews of many different brands, I decided to give this Meguiar's Liquid Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax a try. My car was still beading water from the discontinued product I previously swore by, so I wasn't sure how well this would bond on top of that previous wax. Also, the previous wax was really easy to apply. Just spray and wipe. For this new Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax, I followed the "first application" directions. I'd seen some videos where users said to ignore the directions on the label and to apply it to a completely dry car instead. I had originally planned on trying it that way, but I chickened out and followed the instructions on the bottle instead, which were to wash car thoroughly, rinse car well leaving it wet, spray the wax on in sections and wipe it in. What I discovered was that on horizontal surfaces like hood and roof, this meant the car was far too wet. On vertical surfaces, the directed method worked just fine, but on hood and roof the directed method did not work well because of all the water that was sitting on the car. Still, I preferred the initial application method of wiping it on to the idea of spreading it on with merely a hose as described for subsequent applications. Anyway, bottom line is that I would never use this wax with a dry towel on a dry car as some people recommend. But I also would not leave the car itself wet for the application either. For me, I found the best method is to wash & dry the car. Then, with a clean bucket of water handy, spray this wax on the dry paint a section at a time. Use a damp microfiber towel to wipe it in, using the bucket of water to moisten and wring out the towel as needed. This product has amazing slip to it, so it requires very little per panel. Because it is so very spreadable, I used far less of this wax than I used with my previous wax. Honestly, even applying it generously, this bottle would easily do my entire SUV at least 8 to 10 times. The results look great, and even using the rub-in method, it's incredibly easy and fast to apply. I'm going to skip the hose-on method recommended for future applications and just spray this on my freshly washed and dried car, spreading it into the paint with a clean damp towel. That way I'll know for sure I've treated every inch of the vehicle and not just randomly washed it over the surface. This wax is super easy to apply, as promised it left no white residue on my black trim, it gave a glossy mirror finish, and omg, as a bonus it even smells like blueberries!!! Yum-mee!!! This product could not be more pleasant or easy to use, and the results look great. It's pretty much effortless and I like it even better than my old favorite spray wax. Highly recommend. UPDATE: I've now used this three times on my vehicle, applying it as I described above. Still super quick to use, and OMG!!! THE STUNNING MIRROR FINISH IS INSANE!!!! When I park my car even in my dimly lit garage every item in my entire garage is reflected in my car's paint. The gloss is mesmerizing! It doesn't get better than this. I won't be using anything else.
