Let's start with the claims on the listing page. "Develop advanced rotary compressors with dehumidification efficiency 20% ahead of others, VOVGUU dehumidifier removes up to 70 pints (Previously), 52 pint per day (86°F 60%RH) Tested in 5,000 sq. ft area." Not even close! I had the unit placed in a 1000 sq. ft. area. It could collect maybe 24 pints in a day [12 hours]. 3 liter tank [6.34 pints] Thats not even a gallon. Could not get the humidity level below 57 % RH after running for 3 days. The thing that's particularly interesting is who is VOVGUU? In the manual it says to Contact Customer Service for help. Yet, there is no contact info of any kind in the manual. The listing page shows 8 pages of catalog type advertising. One with a photo of a big shiny building with VOVGUU on the top. No address, phone number or email contact info within. Plug VOVGUU into a search engine. Nothing! Under warranty it says "For warranty information about this product, please click here." CLICK. It brings you to a new page that says "Please contact the seller directly for warranty information for this product. I go back to the top of listing and see "Visit the VOVGUU Store." Click on that and, you guessed it, no contact info. They are ghost! I've tried more than a few ways to find the home of these folks but as far as I can tell they are not real. Hmm. I sent the unit back. Don't want the hassel. Proceed at your own peril. Good luck.

This is a nice looking unit with nice controls and display. It brought the humidity down and is maintaining it nicely. I am using this in a basement and we'll see how it holds up over time. One issue that was disappointing was that the drain connector is NOT a standard garden hose connector. (like every other dehumidifier on the planet has). I wasn't paying attention when I ordered this unit and might have skipped it if I had realized this. The unit comes with a rather short flex hose that just slips on over the water outlet. It's not a great fit and drips a little, but in a basement I can live with it. Since my choice of location in the basement is not close to a drain, I've added a length of PVC pipe to get the water output to the drain. I'm pretty sure that most people aren't looking for a plumbing project when they buy a dehumidifier, so this is a bummer. If you just want to use the tank to catch the water that works very well. The tank has sort of a sealed top which prevents the water from sloshing out when the tank is full, which is a nice touch. Overall, it's a nice unit at a decent price that will do the job.

Although I know you're supposed to keep any unit with a compressor right side up, the dehumidifier arrived in a box with no "This side up" markings and the unit sat upside down for hours and possibly days, I set it up. started it up and it was working fine. These are essential for climates with high heat and humidity like southern Florida to preserve all furniture and clothing... EVERYTHING from mildew, which is a constant problem here. This unit solved all my problems, keeping the air nice and dry. Great for "snowbirds" who are away all summer. This unit keeps everything nicely preserved till I return in November.

It works pretty well. It lasted about a day, before it needed to be emptied. I gave it 3 stars because it has to be emptied every day and the water collection basin does not come out of the unit. You have to lift the whole thing and pour the water out. Not a great design.

The media could not be loaded. The best dehumidifier I have ever used! very good value for money! Very efficient, compared to other dehumidifiers I have used, Very high working energy efficiency！the room becomes comfortable very quickly, very energy-saving. The moisture removed from the air in one day by the previous used dehumidifier was nothing compared to the 3 hours of work by this machine. The results are obvious. No more water drips on the walls of the room, no water on the floor, no worries about slipping. Clothes are no longer unpleasantly damp. Especially at low temperatures, I'm cold here, but the auto defrost works great, It is still efficient, and the tank fills up quickly with airborne water. The cont and dry modes, which are tailor-made for me. Set the humidity and it is OK！ There are many functions very useful and very smart ，It is very easy to use。Drainage is very user-friendly, the tank full of water with just the right weight, easy to lift and pour. Of course, if don't want to drain the tank, it can also drain by the hose. At first I mistakenly thought 50pint was a water tank capacity , Oh! 50pint is 25 litres of water, hard to lift and empty, how ignorant am I ! Actually 50 pint means it can removes up 50 pints of moisture per day, Not the tank capacity！If the water tank is too big and it is difficult to lift and empty. I am very satisfied with this purchase and I plan to buy 3 more.
