This fireplace is a beautiful piece of furniture. It looks fantastic in my living room, and puts out a decent amount of heat. If you mainly want this for the beauty of the piece, you will love this fireplace. I am 76, so I hired a professional to assemble the fireplace. She said the directions were clear, large enough print, and the drawings were helpful. It took her 90 minutes. This unit is fairly quiet. Those were the positives. BUT.... I absolutely don't like the insert. You might. The glass is a dark smoky gray, and there are no " bricks" behind the flame. I thought it would be clear glass. The logs are very small. The " flames" are far from realistic. The remote is the size of a credit card, and almost that thin. It takes a special replacement battery that appears to be about the thickness of a stick of gum. There are controls you can push manually on the insert. The thing I am most disappointed with is there is a warning that when you turn off your fireplace, it should also be unplugged. The only outlet on the wall is dead center, and so is the fireplace. So, with a decorated mantle, I'm supposed to pull the fireplace out everytime I turn it off so I can reach the outlet? All the decor is apt to fall off if I do that. Or do I place the fireplace over to one side so I can reach the outlet more conveniently? Great, an off center fireplace on my focus wall. I don't think I could stand that. Not sure I will be doing that!

I was able to decorate my mantel for Christmas! It arrived on time and I put it together by myself. The directions were very easy to follow. It does heat up my living room quite nicely. I wish the logs could have been little more realistic looking, but it does work as needed.

The mantle section came in damaged, I contacted the seller and they replaced it and sent out a new one right away. Easy assembly instructions, took about an hour to put it together… It looks great, and fit perfectly in the spot we placed it in. Great flame, and heat. Overall, we are very pleased with the product and the customer service we received!!
