Only a couple of issues and neither is worth losing a Star for. My unit arrived without any sort of manual in the box, packaging was clearly a new unit, simply missing any sort of paperwork. No problem, went to the makers website; ooops no manual online BUT an easy to find contact and got a great response same day - now that's awesome service! I've set up enough of this type of unit that a manual wasn't critical for operation, very self explanatory BUT another brand I have in another building does NOT allow you to mount vertically. Simply inquired of the maker and YES you can mount this vertically. I had two reasons, simply a better fit in my location of choice and most important, it has two very nice cooling fans but for low power usage I want convection to carry moderate heat and save on a tiny bit of power when appropriate --- this 48v 4000w unit will need the fans facing the ceiling to achieve this minor detail. The one item I might drop a star on but won't; at my age of worn out joints, lol, the hardwire AC out is VERY inconvenient to access. It's NOT standing on my head that is the issue, it is tilted back toward the mounting board thus must bend the wires going in to the absolute perfect angle and it's so close to the mounting board that you have to feel around to get the wires in place prior to tightening the screws. This design could definitely use some work but hey, done right, it's only a one time endeavor. So far it's performing precisely as expected but I will note that I have not yet put a major long load on it. I did throw an 80 volt chainsaw battery on the charger, a 13.5 amp power saw and a 6.7 amp hammer drill on it simultaneously for a full minute and the inverter had no issues at all. I own many inverters. This 4000W has become my favorite. This powers my house 24/7 and can run anything that I put on it; I will list things that I use regularly. The pictures show the power draw off my 20,000 watt hour lifepo4 battery bank and the power produced by the inverter. For this test I am running a space heater on high and a countertop oven. I turned off the solar panels, so we would see the actual draw on the batteries. 2840÷3200=89% efficiency; probably more like 87%. 10k AC/heatpump, 5k AC, 3 freezers, 1 refrigerator, lights, TV's, Countertop oven, space heater, tools, etc... I would not recommend running a 1.5hp compressor on an inverter nor will I try it; maybe an 8k? I also don't recommend using more than the approximate 3000 watts you see here. I have had this 4000 up for 3.5 months and the 2500 for over a year. ... show more

Fantastic service. After using the inverter for one month, the AC output dropped to 99 Volts. I reported this to Zetawale service with photos and documentation and they sent me a new inverter within days. This is a powerful inverter, which can provide the punch you need when working with heavy loads. I could not be more satisfied with its performance. Says 4k/8k rated but when using a lift motor that pulls ~2600W, my shops lights are constantly flickering. Even if you factor a 20% loss, its still pulling 600W less than the advertised wattage, and seems to struggle. Then today, i plugged in a 15amp air compressor. I turned it on and everything shut off, now my entire shop is dead and ive had to order a different and larger 6k/12k inverter i guess, even though this one is clearly advertised as able to power this equipment. After further investigation, i removed the top panel and checked continuity on all the ONLY FIVE, THIRTY, YES 30 AMP fuses. 2 of them had no continuity and were blown. I'm no electrician but watts = volts x amps. No matter how you look at the situation 5 30 amp fused capacitors, on a 48v input is 7200 watts capable or 3600 continuous. Then you factor in the efficiency loss of 10-20%, this inverter is DEFINITELY NOT 4000watt continuous, or 8000watt surge capable. BEST CASE scenario this inverter is 3200continuous, worst case 2900. Which would explain why when i was pulling ~2600-2700Watts the lights are flickering about to shut off. This unit is literally not even designed or manufactured to be capable of the wattage numbers as advertised. ... show more

This 4000W pure sine wave inverter works really well, powering multiple tools at once from my 48V mower. It has a nice LCD display for remote control, and all the basic installation pieces are there - though I did end up needing to buy all the pieces to use an anderson connector. It can be a bit noisy if you're trying to use it indoors, but outside it's fine, no louder than say a server fan. Note - the video starts with it powering a compressor to inflate tires, the unit is not that loud :) It arrives in a very nicely protected packaging, with a picture on the box, so it can be given as a gift if that is what you intend it to be. Unpacking and installing is very simple and straightforward, and the instructions were decent enough to know what to do. All in all I highly recommend this inverter! ... show more

This review is for the "4000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter 48V DC to 110V/120V AC Converter, 8000W Peak, High-Efficiency Off-Grid Power Inverter for Solar System, 4 AC Outlets, USB & Type-C, LCD Remote Control." Under normal conditions, the sine wave looks super clean. However, under loads over 2kw, the sinewave begins to faulter. I tried different battery types and that seems to make a huge difference. As a result, I'm staying away from lead-acid batteries and running four Lifepo (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries in series for 48v. I'm not convinced this converter will run over 2kw for any duration. Not sure why I'm experiencing this, but I'm personally a bit disappointed as the listing boasted much higher performance. Installing this on a wall was easy for the most part. I used standoffs to keep it an inch off the wall. Wiring it to the battery array was also easy. Connecting appliances to it is as easy as plugging them in. You may want to shop around before settling on this inverter. There are others by name brand manufacturers that are proven to work and arw UL listed. ... show more
