Set name: 12V-4000W pure sine wave inverter
I am used to expensive marine grade inverters that produce a real pure sine wave. So i was not expecting a huge amount from these, as the price is 1/10th of the units i am used to. The units i am used to have been working away 24/7 for over 20 years with no issues, a tough act to follow. I got 3 of these for a house project, all 3 arrived properly packed. I unpacked and tested all 3, they all worked perfectly, no issues. Setup is easy, as would be expected, the hardwire connections are not really industrial grade, but they are adequate (barely). The remote is nice, easy to read in daylight or night. The battery percentage is not calibrated for LiFePo4 batteries, so do not use it to give you an accurate SOC status. But in truth you should never use the inverter to give you that data, you must get it from the battery itself, as the inverter will measure line voltage including the drop due to its own load. Use a Victron battery monitor or similar. I ramped up testing on each unit, from light loads to full bore, in incremental steps. Up to about 1200w it produces 120VAC from 1200 to 3800w it produces a clean and steady 118VAC 60hz. I have seen reviews where there were complaints that the voltage dropped below 110VAC on medium to high loads. My units worked as expected, but you must use suitable DC cables to power the unit. I tossed the DC cables that were provided in the box, they were worthless. I used properly made short run 2/0 AWG marine cables to power them, If the run was longer (>6ft) i would use 4/0 cables instead. The fan is fairly noisy, only has 2 speeds on and off. A variable speed fan would be a much better solution and would have added about 10 cents to the build cost. The fan came on around 1500w for my tests, but it would depend on the ambient temp for each case. As i planned to have these in a separate equipment room, the fan noise is not an issue. There is a slight delay ramping up the output power, but nothing i tested (heaters, induction cooktops, hair drier, tools, etc) complained or failed to work correctly. The delay you see on is just in the display updates, rather than the power itself. I put an oscilloscope on one of the output ports when it was producing 3000w of power, the sine wave is still clean. As someone else mentioned there is a tiny amount of top wave clipping, but the waveform is sufficiently clean to power everything i tested. I do not plan on using these for computers etc, for that i installed a Xantrex Prosine2.0, cost far more than all 3 of these, but i know they are totally clean waveforms. The waveform on these inverters is actually better than the Honda EU2000/EU2200/EU3000 generators. I cannot speak to the longevity of these inverters. If i find failures or issues down the road, i will update this review accordingly. So far i am very happy with them. ... show more

Only a couple of issues and neither is worth losing a Star for. My unit arrived without any sort of manual in the box, packaging was clearly a new unit, simply missing any sort of paperwork. No problem, went to the makers website; ooops no manual online BUT an easy to find contact and got a great response same day - now that's awesome service! I've set up enough of this type of unit that a manual wasn't critical for operation, very self explanatory BUT another brand I have in another building does NOT allow you to mount vertically. Simply inquired of the maker and YES you can mount this vertically. I had two reasons, simply a better fit in my location of choice and most important, it has two very nice cooling fans but for low power usage I want convection to carry moderate heat and save on a tiny bit of power when appropriate --- this 48v 4000w unit will need the fans facing the ceiling to achieve this minor detail. The one item I might drop a star on but won't; at my age of worn out joints, lol, the hardwire AC out is VERY inconvenient to access. It's NOT standing on my head that is the issue, it is tilted back toward the mounting board thus must bend the wires going in to the absolute perfect angle and it's so close to the mounting board that you have to feel around to get the wires in place prior to tightening the screws. This design could definitely use some work but hey, done right, it's only a one time endeavor. So far it's performing precisely as expected but I will note that I have not yet put a major long load on it. I did throw an 80 volt chainsaw battery on the charger, a 13.5 amp power saw and a 6.7 amp hammer drill on it simultaneously for a full minute and the inverter had no issues at all. Granted the cooling fans engaged but it never waivered. ... show more

this bask up works great, I love it. I wired up my pc, , router, tv, cable box and dvd/blueray player to this and now when the power blips i dont lose all my PC or cable tv. I LOVE IT. When the power goes out , it just switches automatically, i do recommend this inverter with ATS, i hooked it up to a 12 v 100 ah battery, and if i know storms are coming i turn it on, it just works great!! ... show more

Died in about 2 weeks. Amazon replacement coming in for the save. Will update review when the new one arrives. Update: replacment unit has been functioning as expected for 3 weeks now. Careful with the 120v connections. The screws are very easily stripped. Do not over tighten.

Put the power inverter in my golf cart with a new lipo battery. Love it works great. Will keep your refrigerator and window ac unit powered up if you lose landline power. With a new 150 amp 48 volt lipo battery it will keep it running for many hours. Love this inverter.
