I like the solid feel of the PVC material. Although it is described as "decorative", I'd go more for "hide away". It is not particularly "decorative", I'd venture to say. Instead, I'd describe it as a nice way to hide the ugly pipes or tubes that are required by the mini-split on the outside of the building. I haven't tried painting over the PVC, but I'd first wash the surface and prep it for whatever paint you want to use! Being outside, the sun's UV and heat will try to destroy whatever paint you use, assuming you get it to stick well to the PVC.

We are currently under way with the installation of a completely new HVAC system. This 4'' wide 16.5' long mini-split line set PVC cover kit will dress up the exterior line set and control wiring. It will also offer some protection from the weather and physical damage. A welcome feature is that this PVC cover is paintable to match the installation location. This PVC cover is simple to install and adjustable in length to fit your installation path requirements. We will have many left over pieces since our installation will only require approximately 2'-3' of cover. This line set cover kit appears to be well made. The material is heaver than I expected, and it looks like it will wear well. One disappointment (since my unit is already installed), is that the one flexible section is fully closed, and would require a lot of work to utilize. I suppose all of these sets are like this, so you may want to consider this before you install your unit. One solution may be to slit open the back of the section so that the lines can be pushed in. Another nit is that the kit came with no instructions. They aren't really needed, but it would be useful to know that you're assembling the package correctly.

I ordered this KuriProtect 4”W 16.5Ft Lineset Cover Kit to cover a mini split lineset. It is well made and comes with the needed hardware, to attach it to the siding and to screw the joint tops to the bottoms. It also has wall anchors. It is more rigid than another set we bought. Remember to run the lines through the flexible piece, before attaching the wiring to the condenser, otherwise you won’t be able to use that piece.

Used this kit to cover an existing mini-split tubing outside the garage. Really like the low profile look. Had to do a bit of finessing because the original installer had not anticipated putting a cover over the tubing, and the bends were too large to fit inside the top transition. Once that was solved, fastening this kit to the wall was pretty easy and the outer sections snapped right in to make a good fit. Using this kit also gave me a chance to stuff insulation inside at a couple of junctures to reduce and possibly eliminate critters getting in.
