Is it weird to be infatuated with a step stool? It is? Well then I'm fine being weird - I love this thing. This is somewhere between a step stool and a (small) ladder. I have two-step step stools (that's fun to say) that are either clunky, not big enough, or not sturdy enough. Then I have ladders that are just too big for certain smaller jobs. I thought I would give this one a shot - and now I'm going to donate my other step stools. Not sure where to start. This is very well made and super high quality. It's very durable but somehow retains a lightness about it so it's very easy to pick up/fold up and move. It is also quite compact so it can easily be stored. The three steps put it a step ahead of the rest and allows me to easily get to those harder to reach places with ease. This stool is also very stable and I feel quite sturdy even on my uneven patio. It's easy to unfold and fold, transport, and stow. And it holds up to 900lbs! That means I can have me and my favorite 720lb Musk ox on it with me! Think about that... picture a Musk ox (Google it if you can't) and imagine that this thing will hold one of those, plus me, though you can't really picture me. Point being, that is incredibly impressive. Plus it has a tool platform for your tools, paint, or whatever snacks you brought for your Musk ox. Yes, I have a love affair with this step stool. You will too, if you take my advice and treat yourself to the best (and last) step stool you'll ever own.

This ladder is not built the way you'd expect, which is likely based on the "homeowner-grade" ladders you see in every box store. this one is heavy-duty but still easy to carry and deploy. We had another ladder similar in size to this new unit, but it was lightweight, slapped together, rickety garbage. It literally fell to pieces and after multiple repairs, the aluminum started cracking. It got cut up and moved to the recycle bin. This ladder is amazing and so useful. It has smart design and robust build specs; built to last for many years. The weight rating is real. I'm amazed. I've used it as a ladder but also as an impromptu saw horse and table. It is portable, compact, easy to unfold, and stable to use. I can't say enough good about it. If you need this kind of ladder to use around the house for painting, getting into high cabinets, changing light bulbs, washing windows, dusting lighting and ceiling fans, or general cleaning, you can't go wrong with this one. I have really high ceilings in my living room and needed a ladder to clean the corners. I wanted something that I could easily slide under the guest bed or put in the guest closet to keep the ladder out of the way when I am not using it. This ladder surpassed my expectations. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for a folding ladder.

Overall a well built 3 step ladder. I do a lot of remodel work and have 5 other 2 and 3 step ladders that are Gorilla and Cosco brand. I like the lightweight aluminum box frame Gorilla brand ladders from the local box store as my go to. They are lightweight and east to move, generally rated to 300lbs, share many of the same tray features and share the same price point . So here’s the rub on this ladder, the 900lb rating is impressive and the build quality and welds appear to be sufficient to believe it to be true. Definitely has the feel of a heavy duty 3 step with thick wall tubing as advertised. All these selling points in the ad copy comport with the ladder I received. I would agree for the most part that it is as advertised. And that makes this the heaviest step ladder I own. I think for most of what I do and the frequency that I move a ladder like this around on a project it’s heavier than I’m used to and heavier than I want it to be. So I gotta ask myself, who actually needs a 3 step rated for 900lbs? Probably nobody. In my opinion this is a difficult item to give a solid rating on. It is as advertised and kinda begs the question why. I think my best consideration for a use case would be a commercial application where this would be a fleet vehicle step ladder for plumbers, welders, block wall masons and maybe landscapers for a little extra reach. Not so much a putty, spackle and paint indoor ladder. And I think for those heavier duty jobs where you require a ladder thats beefy this could be your huckleberry. One thing to note is the lock isn’t really much of a lock as it is a plastic tube clip under the top step. Most of my modern ladders have some kind of actuating lock mechanism. I found the ad copy on that point to be a little hohum. In conclusion I don’t think it’s going to be my favorite ladder for indoor use. If you think you need a 900lb rated 3 step, I definitely wouldn’t talk you out of this one. My rating for this one is based on received as advertised. Not my personal favorite and also not a bad product. My grading scale My ratings are based on one or more of the following characteristics. I kid you not, this is hands down the best step stool that's come into my house. It immediately replaced an old wobbly stool seen to the right in the first pic folded up that not only made everyone feel not safe stepping on any of its steps, but could slide from the small caps on its ends, despite being metal. You can see that this Diamondforge step ladder has far better designed end caps that are shaped like animal hooves and give a solid grip on the even smooth tile floor. Stepping on it feels like stepping on a rock mountain; doesn't budge, can climb right up steps, firm, steady so you feel like on solid ground, things that matter to older persons, need to have a steady stool. My mother was always afraid to get on the older step stool, and afraid to see me get on it, and so it gladly went out to trash, with this rock-solid new model rated up to 900 lbs - while I can't attest to how factual it is, I can say how totally rock solid it feels to get on it, it certainly feels definitely can hold 300, 400 pounds.
