I actually bought these for van outfitting, but the same concept applies. If one day there is not a grab handle where you would reasonably expect there to be one, that’s just a fall waiting to happen. For better use, you can even add some rubberized grip tape to the handle. Overall these are a durable and sturdy construction, with quality welds to fasten it together. All in all they are a proper size for our application and for being all steel construction, a good price too!

Sturdy and Easy to Install
Color: Black-6
These handles are solid, sturdy, and feel very secure once installed. The metal is thick enough that they do not feel flimsy, and the black finish looks nice and clean. Installation was straightforward since the mounting holes were already pre-drilled, and the included hardware made the job easy. They work great as grab handles for a playset or climbing area, and the size is comfortable for kids to hold. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality and value. Five stars.

Great for a ladder too!

This six-pack of playground safety hand bars made an excellent ladder for my kids to access the loft in their tiny house, giving them a sturdy and practical way to climb up safely every day. The bars were easy to install, felt strong and secure once in place, and fit perfectly with the compact layout of the space. I really liked how they turned an otherwise awkward area into something useful, especially since the loft is one of the most important parts of our tiny home. My kids can now get up and down with much more confidence, and the whole setup feels both functional and kid-friendly. It’s a simple solution, but it made a big difference in how well the loft works for our family.

Heavy, nicely made, plastic coating will keep these very rust resistant

These are really nice safety handles. They are well-made, heavy, sturdy & the rust resistant coating appears to be a fairly thick plastic-like coating on all sides, including the back & interior portions. I believe this extra heavy coating will be very effective at preventing rust from damaging these, allowing them to last a long time, I'm quite happy with the rust resistant treatment, as It will prevent having to replace rusted rungs in the future, plus the coating seems to be heat resistant & does not absorb the heat from the sun, as it would were simply painted on the base steel they're constructed from. The coating on these is textured, which will increase traction & prevent slips and falls. We are making an activity center for our granddaughters. I haven't decided whether we'll use these as safety handles, for creating a ladder to climb to the upper level of the activity center, or to create monkey bars along dual rails that they can use to move from one side of the activity center to another using their arms - or some combination of those. Because they are well-priced, possibly we'll order more & create a couple of those things. This set of six bars came complete with heavy duty screws for attaching the bars to the activity center & a drill bit with the hexagonal shape needed for installing the screws. The drill bit is appreciated. We have a variety of hexagonal, star & other shaped bits, however, I don't believe we have one in this size, so it's nice to have one included. These sell for $54.00 or $9.00 for each bar, which is reasonable in my opinion. These are very well made of heavy material. They are thick, heavy & high quality, plus they have a specialized, textured coating to reduce the likelihood or rusting & to add slip resistance for added safety. Even though the coating is black, which typically absorbs heat, these stay cool to the touch because of the coating material used, which actually reduces the absorption of heat to the base metal. The directions are rather sparse. I don't personally need directions for installing them, but detailed instructions should be included to assure that people clearly understand how to attach these for safety & security. These bars are very nice & they offer several different options for use. Because of their positive attributes, I would recommend these to others.

Sturdy Handles for Play Areas

I ordered these for a play area project and was happy with how solid they felt once installed. The metal construction feels sturdy and the textured grip helps provide extra traction. I like that they can be used in several different ways whether on a playset climbing wall treehouse or other outdoor structure. Installation was straightforward and they felt secure once mounted. These are one of those simple products that help add confidence and safety for kids while climbing and playing. Overall I was very happy with them.

Cute handles but questionable strength of the connections

These handles look really nice, but I am concerned about strength. Since the listing states they are rated for 300 lbs, I thought they could be useful in our old barns as hand holds and possibly ladder rungs, however they feel REALLY lightweight for the size (they are a thin metal tube, not solid metal). I am also very concerned as it seems these are spot welded lightly - I think there is a very real possibility that the ring could pull right off the plate when it had any kind of load on it. The included screws are also short and lightweight and definitely need to be replaced by something sturdier. The grip size and feeling is great for my small hands, but I think it would also work well for children or larger adults. Overall, they look really nice, but for something that I trust my life to by climbing or hanging, I think these leave a lot to be desired in terms of stability and build quality. I also am unsure of durability as it seems like they were kind of cheaply constructed, so I imagine that they may rust quickly if used outside. Overall, I think they are probably better uses as oversized door pulls/handles than as something that supports your weight.

Nice finish. Holding up well to daily use.

These worked out great for setting up an indoor climbing area for my 5-year-old. The bars feel really sturdy once installed no wobbling or flexing and they give a solid, secure grip. The 1-inch diameter is just right for smaller hands, so my kid can hold on comfortably without struggling. The metal construction feels durable and not cheap, and I like that they’re rated to hold well over 300 lbs it gives some peace of mind knowing they can handle more than just a small child. We mounted them indoors as part of a little DIY climbing setup, and they’ve held up well to daily use. Installation was pretty straightforward thanks to the pre-drilled holes. As long as you’re mounting into something solid (like studs), you’re good to go. The black color is sleek and matches our aesthetic. They average to about a little over 8 dollars each which is a fair price. They do exactly what they’re supposed to. Great option if you’re building a play area or just want to add some climbing elements inside.
