Finally ditched the plastic stacking trays

My old round dehydrator had those stacking plastic trays you had to rotate every hour, and half the time the bottom layer was done while the top was still soggy. I wanted something with actual shelves and a real thermostat, so I went with this one. Eight stainless trays was the selling point since I usually do a big batch of apples and jerky on the same day. First run was two trays of pineapple and the rest apple slices, about 9 hours at a middle temp, and everything came out evenly dry without me swapping anything around. Jerky took a bit longer than the recipe book said, closer to 7 hours for thicker strips, but the texture was spot on. I like that I can see in through the little light instead of opening the door and dumping the heat. It's quiet too. I've run it overnight in the kitchen and it never woke anyone up, just a low fan hum. The trays and drip tray rinse off easy, though I will say the mesh sheet needs a soak if you do anything sticky like banana. And it does take up real counter space, so mine lives in a cabinet between uses. Overall I'm really happy with it. It does what I bought it for, the timer going up to 48 hours means I can set it and forget it, and the outside stays cool enough that I'm not worried about my dog bumping into it.

Great way to make dehydrated fruit snacks
We are big fans of dried mango but we really don't like buying from the store because of the added sugars. So we decided to try making our own. This dehydrator seemed to be at a reasonable price point with decent reviews so we went for it. The device is very compact, kind of a mini oven range. It fit easily on our kitchen counter. The black and silver color also gives it a sleek and stylish appearance. The display is minimal and is touch based. It doesn't need to be complicated because there are just two controls - temperature and duration. The provided manual gives detailed instructions on these settings given what you plan on dehydrating. The unit has 8 wire mesh shelves and a drip tray for the bottom. I used it to dry mangoes, strawberries and kiwis all at the same time. It was very easy to peal off the pieces and nothing was stuck to the shelves. Overall very easy to clean. The quality of the dehydrated fruit was good for a first attempt and I believe I will find optimal settings with some practice. But it is important to keep in mind that the temperature can't be finely tuned. It can only be set in steps of 5 degrees. Lastly, I do wish that the unit could do something in addition to dehydrating. Maybe air frying or something that would make it more versatile on the kitchen counter.

Great purchase

This product works well. It is quiet and does a great job. I have no issues with it and have used it over 20 times in past 45 days. The interior light helps to see the dryness of products within. The trays are great and easy to clean. All around great product. The preset temps are a little off from what I am used to but I have had no issues with it. Whe. You first get it you need to do a break in cook. There is an odor in the machine that needs to be cooked out. After that is done I have had no issues with the odor being present or it changing the flavor of my products. It is super easy to use with numerous preset cooks.

Ease of use
It works beautifully. We made incredible jerkey and dries fruits and it has not disappointed. It looks nice and operation is very easy.

good little hydrator
It works very well dries fruits and vegetables, but you have to do them separately fruits take a lot longer then vegetables. Also gives off a lot of heat so don't use it on a hot day,

This is a work horse of a dehydrator

Okay we like to dehydrate fruits, and my husband makes all kinds of jerky including dog jerky. It was a fantastic value for the money, we found it very easy to use, the quality is beyond our expectations, it makes no noise, we had to check it at first to make sure it was turned on. We love how big it is, much larger than what we had before, and the best part is that this dehydrator is so easy to clean.

One of My Most Anticipated Purchases This Year!

This was honestly one of the things I was most excited to get this year! I love how versatile it is. I can use it to dry oranges and other fruits for Christmas decorations and wreaths, and also make homemade jerky, dried apples, and so many other snacks. It’s surprisingly lightweight, easy to move around, and very simple to use. I also love that it comes with multiple racks, so I can make quite a bit at once without it taking up too much space. I’m already thinking of all the things I want to make with it, especially with the holidays coming up. Such a fun and useful addition to my kitchen!
