I ordered 2 packs of this product and both were two diffrent styles of foam. The first 54 packs was actually pretty nice and fluffy. It didnt come with adhesive but I didnt care because I used my own adhesive. Then the second pack of 54 was completely different, it was thinner and a diffrent color than the first pack. I double checked to make sure they came from the same seller and they both were.

view: The foam came in good condition and the adhesive stickers were a nice touch. Installation was easy enough. It does reduce some echo in my room, but honestly not as much as I expected for 54 pieces. The soundproofing is decent for the price, but nowhere near what I’d call “soundproof.” More like basic sound dampening. It helped a bit, but if you’re serious about recording, you’ll probably need more than just these panels. It’s okay for the money, just not amazing.

These soundproof foam panels are very useful and easy to install. They work well for reducing echo and making the room sound better. I used them on the wall, and they helped improve the overall sound quality, especially for talking, recording, video calls, or watching TV. I bought this 54-pack of acoustic foam panels mainly to improve sound quality in my room, and for that purpose, they do a solid job. First off, these are great for reducing echo and making a room sound less “hollow.” After putting them up, I noticed clearer audio when recording and less reverb overall. They’re lightweight, easy to install, and the included adhesive pads make setup pretty quick. The wedge design also gives a nice studio look. The “quick recovery” foam is legit—most panels expanded back into shape after unpacking, though a few needed some time or a little help to fully form. That said, these are NOT true soundproofing panels. They don’t block sound from leaving or entering a room—they mainly absorb higher-frequency reflections. If you’re expecting to stop noise from going through walls, this won’t do that. Also, at 1 inch thick, they’re better for light acoustic treatment. They help with echo and clarity, but don’t expect major improvements for bass or full room isolation. Overall, for the price and quantity, this is a good starter set for a home studio, gaming setup, or office. Just go in with the right expectations—they improve sound quality inside the room, not soundproof it.

Application: home music studio and vocal booth I've been putting off ordering any of the inexpensive sound treatment options on offer across the internet, mainly because the reviews are all over the place. Some people say they work well, while others report that just about all of them are so awful that they could rightfully be viewed as scams. I thoroughly researched making my own DIY sound treatments, but given the price of materials in this current market even modest designs actually cost more than any of these cheapo options on Amazon. So, I bought one 54 pack of these 1" x 12" x 12" panels just to find out if they were at least minimally usable. They didn't cost much, so I figured it was no big risk. I'm happy to report that I did not experience any problems with product quality or function. Upon opening the vacuum pack, nearly all of the panels reinflated to full functionality in about 20 minutes all by themselves. A handful of them required that I follow the INSTRUCTIONS to restore their original, usable shape. The INSTRUCTIONS indicate that the preferred method of restoring the usable shape of the panels is to briefly submerge them in water, then wring the excess, then throw in the dryer for 20 minutes. Worked like a charm. Some of them required a second go around in the dryer, but no big deal. Many reviewers report that some of their panels appeared crushed and paper-thin and would not reinflate to their proper dimensions. The panels are, indeed, vacuum packed. The pack is as hard as a piece of wood and the panels are all squashed to paper-thin sheets for storage and shipment. I had no problem whatsoever with getting them to fluff back up to their intended shape by following the INSTRUCTIONS. All of my panels were true to the claimed 1" x 12" x 12" dimensions. The included adhesive dots worked well to hold the panels to the walls and even ceiling of my studio. The dots are thick and gummy and very tacky. I found that I had to press hard to get them to adhere to the foam of the panels, but the panels seem to be rock-solid once installed. I purchased five more 54 packs and the whole project has worked out just fine. All-in-all, less than 40% of the panels I received required the full submerge-wring-dry procedure, so I think that's acceptable.
