I gave these speakers a 5 out of 5 but first I must say that I am not using these speakers in the traditional way. Let me explain. In my Ford Van I have a 32 inch flat screen. I run the speaker outs on the flat screen to a Sony head unit and these speakers are wired to that head unit. Long story short, I use these speakers only with my flat screen. The head unit and flat screen are run off of a house battery that is charged during the day with a solar panel. At night when camping I am able to watch movies on the flat screen playing through these speakers. I have 1 speaker in each rear door of the van and 1 each in both side doors of the van. The flat screen is between the side and rear door so it get somewhat of a "surround-sound " from the flat screen. I chose not to push the speakers with an amplifier but just to use what the output of the head unit is 75watts per channel and that is way more than needed. I didn't want to use an amp as they draw so much power from the house battery. So let me recap: The speakers sound great but probably would sound muddy with any kind of amplifier. They make my flat screen sound like a theatre inside my VAN and that was what I was looking for, so I am happy with the results. These speakers were installed on a 2006 Honda civic lx . The stock speakers were blown. I installed them in my daughter’s car now she can listen to her music once again. The quality of sound is good. Better then the stock speakers

UPDATE::: After 5 days or use the tweeters started distorting. Running straight from stereo, no amp. (Previously i rated them as good). Excellent for the price. I am running from a low budget 240 watt radio and they sound clear and punchy. I am going to order baffles which I am sure they will make them sound better. ... show more

Replaced all 4 speakers on 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad cab. I didn’t use the grills that came with them, but they are very nice looking if I had to do flush mount. My wife said they sound as good as the stereo in her 2014 CRV.
