Used this on my Silverado but I have a supercharger so I had to make a couple changes. Used an elbow adapter to move it a bit. The plastic is the same size as my coupler so a little bit of heat from a hair dryer softened up the elbow enough to get the filter one. Overall worked perfect. Very happy.

When opened the air filter was a little squished into a oval shape but it's flexable and easy to get round. The filter was black on the end rather than silver as in the pictures. The most difficult part of the installation is getting the hard plastic filter base into the filter neck. I had to leave the filter out in the sun on a black surface to warm it up, that let the 2 pieces slip together. The brackets and shields are well made with good welds, from aluminum. It includes instructions that are actually pretty good, with pictures. I installed on a Cadillac EXT which isn't listed in the ad (but is on the instructions), but I knew it would fit because a EXT is just a fancy Avalanche. I had no expectations from a "bargain kit" but this thing surprised me, it seems very much like the ones that are 2x more. ... show more
