While Mr. Cool says that using a line cover is not necessary if your line is placed on the south side of your house where it faces the sun day in and day out I think you'll find as I have that you will need to get a line cover for your mini split line. The line on the north side of my house. Fine. The line on the West side of my house, fine. The line on the south side? The cover is shredding and falling apart and looks very bad. Sure, it's completely functional but it looks really bad. I haven't been able to install this myself, I'll need my handyman to do it. I've opened it, nothing's missing and I've watched a couple of videos and looked through the instructions. It looks straightforward. The cover is paintable but I don't plan to paint it just yet. My plan is to paint the house exterior within the next 5 years so I'll just wait and leave it white until then. I'll post a before and after pic after I get my handyman over here and get it done!

Okay, here's another solid option for managing mini-split linesets. This 10-foot length of 3-inch line set cover is perfectly suited for a couple of common scenarios here in Indiana. Firstly, if you have a very simple installation where the indoor head and the outdoor condenser are quite close, this 10-foot section might be sufficient to cover the entire exposed run, giving you that clean, finished look. More frequently, perhaps, you might find yourself using a piece like this as an extension. It's common to plan a run and discover your main kit is just a few feet short of reaching the condenser comfortably. Adding a 10-foot section like this is the ideal solution to bridge that gap and complete the installation properly, ensuring the entire lineset is protected and concealed right up to the unit. This particular kit also includes a length of flexible duct, which is always a valuable addition. Even within a shorter 10-foot span, or when adding an extension, you can encounter obstacles like exterior vents, plumbing pipes, or slight jogs in the wall. The flexible piece allows you to create smooth, necessary bends around these obstructions much more easily and cleanly than trying to piece together multiple rigid elbows. The standard 3-inch width is typically sufficient for a single lineset bundle (refrigerant lines, drain hose, wiring). This was absolutely perfect for my mini split. This made it. It looks so much better than it looked when it was done. I had my husband install this and it was super easy because the person that installed my mini split left the wires all dangling around it just didn’t look pretty at all so this is a much better improvement and the item is really good high-quality and such a value for the money. I think it’s really good quality and the perfect fit. If you’re installing wires or a mini split, especially this is the perfect solution to keep everything neat and nice and safe. Also, you get so many pieces so if anything goes wrong, you can always have extra because I really did not use all the pieces.

Really needs better instructions than what it comes with it. It is a PAIN until you get the hang of it. I had to get my wife to help me hold the pieces together until I was able to pop them together so I’d for sure say this is a two person job. Despite all the hassle, I’m happy with it. It looks professional and the unsightly wires and tubing is all covered now. We’ve had a few severe storms too since the installation and it’s holding up well. Worth the money to hide the ugly and for peace of mind knowing it’s better protected.
