Great conversation piece. It does claim to be copper in the small print on the coin, but it is not. Check with a magnet. I have had some finish wear off a little, but I carry it daily cause it just a great looking piece. I WILL be ordering more soon, although it is not made of any kind of precious metals. They are large Dollar size coins, great for kids or any one that just likes coins.
