Description

3M All Weather Flashing Tape 8067 is a self-adhered, waterproof flashing membrane designed for sealing around openings and penetrations in exterior walls. This product has a unique acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive that aggressively sticks and stays stuck both at lower and higher application temperatures than traditional flashing tapes. It can be applied to materials without primers or staples and bonds in surface temperatures from 0 to 176F (-18 to 80C) per AAMA 711-05. It even adheres to damp surfaces. To prevent moisture intrusion, the thin backing construction effectively conforms and seals around nails and staples with less buildup under the siding. This backing is also tough, resists punctures and tears, yet it is thin to fit conveniently into corners and under the siding. Proprietary construction will not liquefy, bleed, or melt in contact with many building sealants or in extreme summer temperatures. The split paper release liner provides fast application with easy and accurate positioning of the tape Recommended applications include: sealing joints around sills, jambs and heads of rectangular windows in wood frame construction; sealing around other wall interruptions in non-roof areas, such as thresholds, dryer vents and hose bibs; when installed properly as a concealed flashing in vertical walls in frame construction, it prevents moisture intrusion or water leaks and avoids the costly problems caused by water infiltration.

  • Great tape. Works like it said.
Used as flashing while replacing siding. Adhered to all surfaces as well as could be expected. Applied in temperatures above 45 degrees F. Used roller for every surface. Great quality. Seals well. It stretches somewhat too. Only issue was getting the paper loose to remove it. Which is an issue with most tapes that have a peel off layer, so not surprising. Easy to apply but very sticky. Challenging to get off fingers and on to surface. 😁 ... show more

  • Excelent Flashing Tape at a Good Price
I have been using this in 40 degree weather and the adhesion is excellent. The split tape makes it easy to install long pieces without getting it stuck to itself and everything except the joint being flashed and it has a good stretch. Not only is the performance excellent, but the price is better per foot than other products I have tried. I would absolutely recommend this product. ... show more

  • Sticky, not bulky, good temperature range
This is the only stuff I use for window & door flashing. I tried this stuff out after getting tired of the big box options not sticking well. I can use it in very hot or very cold weather. It's stretchy & it's thin enough to not interfere w/anything & to allow overlapping layers where desired. You have to be careful to not have it sticking to itself, but the split backing tape helps greatly. ... show more

  • Excellent!
Used 2 rolls of it on a jobsite yesterday for window flashing wrap. SO MUCH BETTER than the super messy kind available at your local home stores. Easy install! Excellent product!

  • This stuff works
I got this weather flashing tape to flash the opening for my shower niche. I was worried about adding too much bulk and this tape is so nice and thin that it worked great. The adhesion is great too so make sure you place it correctly the first time.

  • Great tape
Works as advertised. Very good tape for sealing exterior and for use as window/door tape. Sticks to everything so far.

  • Phenomenal tape
I use a lot of tape for a lot of things. This is impressive tape. For edge sealing tyvek it was simple using the splits in the paper backing to lay one side, tension without fear of premature application then adhere. Adheres to behr primer, adheres to treated lumber, adheres to tyvek and no problems with bare plywood. For temporarily seating french drain corex pipes to catch basins we typically use duct tape (as it only needs to last long enough for soil to compact and roots to form around the joint), but this stuff is far superior. Attaches well to itself. If using this for the first time: The paper backing split lines are interrupted every 3" or so (to make whole-sheet removal easier) which can tear and leave tape residue in the joint. It takes a few strips to get the hang of how to tear it without leaving backer bits in the middle, but once one pulls at the right angle it's smooth. Expensive but if your project will use close to a roll it may make sense to get a spare roll. Worst case you've got phenomenal sealing tape on hand in the future but once a strip inadvertently bonds to itself there's no rescuing it. Would be functional for small temporary hull repairs on small plastic/aluminum boats, though dedicated products would work better. Same for tent rain fly repairs. ... show more
