Very disappointed. I bought the most expensive 3d pen I found on Amazon as my first pen. Mistake. It worked fine for a couple days then just started leaking so bad became unusable at times. Then after a week it quit working all together. I HATE RETURNING STUFF. So I took it all apart. Probably voided warranty, don't care at a price point not worth my time sending back. I'm extremely lazy. Instead bought the competition - 20 dollars less - ability to look at screen and adjust temp vs "calling customer service to adjust heat" - press and release option, not just autoextrude In summary this was my most embarrassing purchase since I bought a Nook from B&N years ago. ... show more

I have ordered 4 of these pens. They either never worked, worked for about 6 hour or several days. This last one the company agreed to replace (they have a 1 yr warranty( but suggested I was very hard on the pen. The filiments clogged and when I thought it was unclogged it went through the upper soft plastic piece. The one they sent me for return works the besl so far; Then the cost- even a small project takes 1/2 a package, if you change colorsI be prepared to wait FOREVER for the pen to change then find that you'll loose about 1/5 of each stick as it clears out one color and starts the new color. If they brought the price down to about half of what it is I would say that would be a fair price. But a lot of projects fail - so there is a huge amount of waste. In the multi-color packs I nearly always run out of the color I need so you're be less frustrated buying a whole pack of a single color. It's just frustrating, starting a project and being unsure if you'll have enough of one color to finish the project. Plus the pen is highly unreliable, takes FOREVER (like 15 minutes sometimes) to heat up. You nearly always need to use the hottest setting regardless of the type of plastic or you'll be waiting forever for the PLA setting to work. I enjoy doodling a lot but after all my colors are gone I'm afraid I'll have to quit unless they cut their price on the refills significantly or give you double what is in the package so you aren't constantly running out of one color. The cplor of pieces of filaments are terrible - it's kisst plastic when you purchaes a set of different colors it runs about $5 per package but when you purchase single colors by themselves they are $7-12, My "rubby ducky in mostly yellow took three packages of the 7.99 strands (that is75 strands) and I was still looking for more sticks. I will quickly give up an purchase the cheaper brand that uses coil plastic (it does void the warrahty) but over half will be wasted - they aren't colors I'd ever uses; I've spent over $200 on filamints so far. ... show more

Mine wouldn't work after a 2.5 hour session making things. The plastic filament would not come out even though I followed the directions on how to get it out.. So, I wasted $78.00 on a cool thing that breaks the first time you use it. I should have sent it back right away, but this appears to be a design flaw (that it freezes and is no longer functional). I would like a replacement, but I doubt if Amazon will give me one. How about it Amazon...I'm an artist and should be able to make terrific things with the 3Doodler if given the chance. I made a pyramid, and a sculpture, but then it froze on me. ... show more

I purchased this item for my 14 year old for his birthday. By the end of the first day he was creating like he had been born with it. Very user friendly, easy to manipulate and control. Recommend this one (we own two other brands) to anyone just starting out.

2nd 3d pen i have bought as first one broke, decided to buy a pricier for better quality. while the quality of this is there with this pen there's multiple feature i do not like. one being the filament size although not that big of a complaint, mainly for me is the push to use, push to turn off setting, i would much rather hold the button down to use the pen to help with the control of application. and the amount of excess that feeds out between activations!!! i have gotten 3-4 inch strands at times and it happens every time between uses. i just read in the manual to try tightening the nozzle so i willl try to do so. overall good quality but multiple features that just kill it for me. ... show more

This pen is SUPER COOL!!! My tweens are loving it! I actually am having fun with it too! I thought it is like a magical crayon!!! It is easy to use and you can create endless creations. You don't have to be an "artist" to use. You just have to have a great imagination! Has kept my daughters entertained for hours. So happy with the purchases. Bought one for each of my daughters.
