I use this to dry out some old PLA and some new PETG and I will say that it works. Albeit, it is noisy but that’s the fan doing work unlike some dryers out there. I imagine at some point I will mod this and put in a better fan. The interface is simple and lack luster. You will need to at least read that manual once. But you load your filament, push the power button, press M for the three different filament temperature presets (PLA = 1, PETG = 2, ABS =3), then set your time. Most people over dry their filament or try to dry it for days, let’s be honest, that’s a waste of time and money. PLA doesn’t need but about 4 hours or even 6 if it’s really wet. This box will get up to 70C, so make sure you pay attention to your modes or you will melt your filament if you’ve got the wrong stuff loaded. There are several holes to allow filament to pass through so you can print and dry at the same time. There are rollers on the inside that assist with this. If I were to change anything it would be, the noisy fan and add plugs for the holes for when you’re not drying. I dried some filament down to 14% humidity in a 60% RH environment. I let the filament sit for 18 hours and it went up to 42% while the outside was 55% RH. So maybe I’ll 3d print some plugs and see if that helps. Overall a good buy and better when it’s on sale. I’ll buy another for sure.

This dryer is easy to use and gives you guidance on the settings for drying different filament types. I had never used nylon before and had no issues with my print. The case has holes and tubes to make it easy to maintain drying the filament during the printing process by allowing filament feed directly from the dryer into the printer feed mechanism. I recommend this print dryer.

I absolutely HATE that Amazon mixes reviews / ratings for all variations of products even when they are vastly different things. This is for the filament DRYER, NOT the umpteen different filaments listed along with it. This is an okay dryer box in terms of performance. It gets relatively hot (actually reads around 75C for me) and the air circulation likely helps speed up the drying process. But that air circulation comes at the price of my sanity. It's almost DESIGNED to resonate and rattle. From 3 feet away, it's hitting 50-55 dB under the best circumstances. It's louder even than my Bambu X1C while printing in most situations. The fan is loud to start with and makes both a somewhat annoying hum and a very annoying whine. It rattles in its mount. The plastic top...rattles, though thankfully it does reduce the noise as when it is open it is between 60 and 65 db, no joke. The inner metal shield covering the fan and heating element also rattles despite my efforts to tighten it all down. I think a dollar or two worth of additional engineering would make this quite good. The price for the features is quite good. But I can't recommend this unless you intend to put it in a closed off garage or basement.

UPDATED REVIEW 5-12-2-2024 Customer service got back to me and let me know they were away on holiday when I had sent my initial warranty claim, and immediately sent me a new unit. The new one gets a lot hotter a lot faster, which makes me think that my old one was defective from the start, but as it was my first time buying a filament dryer I had nothing to compare it to. It certainly does the job now, my PETG rolls are finally behaving for once! ORIGINAL REVIEW: This product was great, and I used it on and off over a few months, right until it stopped heating entirely. The instruction manual claims that the product has a 1 year warranty, but I've had no luck contacting the customer support email, nor is there any contact info available online for this company. Pretty disappointed!

This dryer is perfect for filaments that need a higher temp to dry. I am able to print from the dryer no problems with both direct drive and bowden setups. The fact that it gets to 70c is a plus for my nylons. It also allows for up to 36 hours of heating for the longer prints.

It got really loud a few nights ago and I turned it off and today it wouldn’t turn back on. Pretty upsetting I’m in the middle of a few projects but oh well it was very affordable

I purchased this because I needed a dryer for my filament. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other dryers but it works and you have the ability to print out of it. If you need a filament dryer and don't have a ton of cash to spend on a high end modle this is for you. Nothing special it just works.
