This ice machine is really nice. It’s compact enough to fit between my other gadgets on my counter and it makes ice pretty quickly. It’s a 3.5 minute turn around. We use the small setting and really like that size ice. It’s really quiet until it runs, then it’s loud and scares you every time. But that’s just once every 3.5 minutes… it’s fine. We got this at the $149 price point and I’d say it’s worth about that. Pretty good value for the money if you don’t have an in fridge ice maker. I wouldn’t lean on it for party use. Not unless you’re bagging up some ice to use at that time. It comes with a cute tiny scoop. It’s very straightforward to use it. User friendly for sure. Make sure you clean it. It comes with helpful instructions. The ice doesn’t stay nice and frozen once it’s made, it’s more like a cooler than a freezer. So if you’re wanting hard ice you may want to throw it into a bowl in the freezer. Overall we’re happy with it. I like the silver. It wipes clean.

I’ve been using this ice maker for a few weeks now and it has honestly changed how I handle drinks at home and for gatherings. The first thing I noticed is how fast it makes ice. In about three or four minutes you can already see cubes forming, and it keeps up a steady pace as long as there’s water in it. For everyday use or a party it’s been super convenient having ice ready without having to fill trays or go out and buy extra. It does up to 38 pounds a day, which is more than enough for our kitchen and even for when friends come over. The fact that it makes two different sizes has been nice too. The smaller cubes are perfect for water and juice, and the larger ones work well in cocktails or iced coffee. I also appreciate the self cleaning feature because it keeps things fresh without much effort. The unit itself isn’t huge but it holds quite a bit of ice, and the water reservoir is easy to fill and stays clean. It’s been great for everyday drinks and it’s especially handy when we’re using our RV. Overall this ice maker has been a really convenient addition to the kitchen. It’s fast, easy to use, and keeps up with whatever ice needs I have.

The media could not be loaded. This countertop ice maker arrived packed in dense foam, which I appreciate. I then took the ice maker out and allowed it to sit upright for the recommended 24 hours before use. It will have a longer lifespan if you do this step. I chose this item specifically for hosting parties where there are always a few ice connoisseurs who want ice, even when their beverages are already cold. :) I think some people like to let ice melt in their mouth, too. In operation, this machine sounds very similar to a cold vending machine when it’s running. I uploaded a 25-second video of me making the small-size ice so buyers can judge the sound level for themselves. This type of noise is expected because the unit uses a compressor and fan system, similar to what you’d find in a window air conditioner. It’s definitely noticeable yet expected for this type of appliance. It also has a fast built-in self-cleaning function, which is convenient. NOTE: Where the manual says the cleaning cycle will pump water into the sink, they mean into the so-called “sink” inside the ice maker, not your kitchen sink. :) The cubes are hollow and shaped more like thick thimbles rather than solid blocks. I included a photo showing both the thinner small and larger thick ice sizes next to a dice for scale. Despite being hollow, they have plenty of surface area and cool drinks quickly. Functionally, it has worked as expected so far. One thing worth noting from a build-quality standpoint: there’s a slight outward bulge on the rear panel of my unit; something from inside is making the metal slightly bulge out. I included a photo for transparency. It has not affected performance at all, but it appears to be a fit-and-finish issue. This ice maker produces a batch of ice in 3.5 to 5 minutes. Buyers who value cosmetic precision should be aware of the panel bulge on my unit, but functionally it has performed perfectly with no problems. I give this 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5.
