I bought these for the smaller end tables that go with my living room set. The look great and the black base goes nicely with the black wrought iron trim on the tables. I just got them yesterday so I don't know how sturdy they will be but they seems to be well-made. I was disappointed that they did not work with 3-way bulbs though. ... show more

Overall, I honestly would have to say these are pretty nice lamps. Delivery was quick. Packaging was excellent (didn't care for all the messy Styrofoam, but, oh well) and they were easy to assemble. The dimensions are as stated and were perfect for where I was placing them. However, they are NOT deep bronze at all. These are BLACK lamps! I didn't want black, I wanted bronze, but I knew I'd never be able to get them back in the box correctly to be able to return them. So...at a distance these lamps look good. But come closer and you will see the base is very cheaply made. I suppose for the price, I am getting what I paid for but still, that was a disappointment. Even my BF said they looked cheap! The shades are very white, which do go with the black base, and the quality of the shade is good. I found no imperfections anywhere on either lamp, which is a plus. These lamps will do for now, but at some point they will be replaced with something better. If you are looking for a higher quality lamp and a lamp that is Bronze.....do not buy these lamps! I liked the color, style and size of these lamps, but hesitated because of the low price. I was skeptical about whether they would look good, and thought there was a 50-50 chance I would have to send them back. However, I was pleasantly surprised. They were packed well and the columns are straight and the shades are adequate. The shades are slightly off white, (not "very" white as one reviewer stated), which was what I was hoping for. I may upgrade to slightly better quality shades in the future, but there is no rush. The switches are a little loose, which was disappointing. I would have paid more for this same design in a better quality lamp, with better switches and upgraded shades. These lamps appear black to me although they say bronze. Update: after a few weeks, I decided to buy better shades from P@tt#ry B@&n. The shades cost twice as much as the lamps, but they were a nice upgrade. ... show more
