    • Heavy duty solution
I have a 15' Mako Pro Skiff, so we aren't talking about a monster sportfisherman here. I wanted to add two rod holders to the forward gunnels that I could aim in any direction depending on if I'm trolling or anchored up live baiting. This item works perfectly. Heavy duty and well engineered to cover just about any angle you will ever need. Just 4 stainless screws or bolts in my gunnel holds the base where it won't even think about budging. The best thing is you can take the holders off and stow them leaving just the base plate visible. Keeps the boat looking clean. I take them off when heading to the ramp or a dock so they won't get bumped by the dock or interfere with dock lines. Great product, I'm thinking of adding two more to the rear gunnels. ... show more

Very strong! But adjustment screw is short and thread engagement is minimal when adjusting the position of the rod holder. I can see parts going over the side if not aware of this issue.

    • The quality of the rod holder is first class
Surface mount brackets are the choice if you can't drill holes into your deck and you can't see what's under it to place a flush mount rod holder. You can remove the rod holder and put it in a storage area if you travel. This rod holder will hold the biggest fish you hook.

Mounted them on my Golf Cart to transport rods to boat, and when I want to fish from the back of the cart off the rocks on shore. Work great and are easily adjustable for angle and side to side. Happy with them.

Seems like these rod holders are well made and sturdy. Mounted them on my boat this winter, but have yet to use them on the water, so we’ll see how well the work later.

    • Solid product but no screws :/
As others said, it is a thick sturdy well built product. The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is NO SCREWS!!!! Please, charge us $2 more and include some screws! Now I have to take a trip to the hardware store to try to find 4 screws that fit the holes. Oh well, still a solid product.
