  • Nice travel solar panel
I use this with converter to charge my ebike batteries when I run out of juice on the road.

  • Realistically 20W
Well-designed and portable, but realistically I could only get about 20W output from the panel. Great for small devices (phones, small power banks), but not good for demanding loads. To note, the charging is drastically slower when occupying both outputs (USB-A and USB-C). It's quite a bit large for the wattage, but the trifold (brochure style fold) is nice for carrying in a backpack. While it doesn't come with a stand, it does have hook holes on each corner and comes with two small carabiners. Worth it if you know what you’re getting and treat it more like a 20W panel, but a bit disappointing if you expect true 35W performance. ... show more

  • The Real Deal
Amazing price for something that works so well - a real value in my opinion. I've used this now all summer off and on during outdoor activities - backpacking and camping mostly. But, also in my truck while traveling for work. While deep in the mountains - far away from civilization and mobile phone service, I used this charger each day to FULLY charge to 100% my iPhone 15 Pro for use all day with the Alltrails GPS app, and to leverage satellite basic texting (did you know you could do that with your iPhone 15 or newer?) each day to let family know we were doing alright. Each afternoon during some downtime, I connected this to my iphone using a USB c-c high speed cable, and WHAM! I had fast - as in seriously fast - charging that filled my battery from 20~30% each day to 98~100% in under 60 minutes. I'm not exaggerating, and am that impressed with this. Granted, to get those results I had mostly full sunny skies to soak up energy from, but still... wow! This thing seems incredibly well made - tough and durable. A bit heavy for the serious "ultralight" backpacker (that's not me) but a truly versatile size and power rating for all kinds of uses. I fold this out when I travel on the dashboard of my truck while it's parked, and charge up an external battery before I even get in the car between 8:30 and 9am (during the summer, granted) if there is full sun. Also, I've observed that it works even in lower levels of sunlight, but I've not gone to the extend of measuring that - but it's obvious that if the sunlight level is lower (due to clouds, shade from trees or other obstacles, or time of day) it does not perform at the same high level, but yes, it still works pretty well from what I can tell - so it's sensitive. As a final note, this is the third mobile solar charger I've had - and this one is just totally different than the others. I've put no effort into understanding the technologies that exist, but this is rigid and thin and seems just tough and like it'll last a long time. This is my go-to until it breaks... hope that's not soon. ... show more

  • This portable solar charger is just OK not great Could perform better and be better designed
After having this this solar charger and putting it to the test it performs only satisfactorily the panel does charge one phone at a time and quite well. I have an older iPhone Pro Max The battery was drained to 10% I plugged into the solar charger for two hours and it charged it up to 100% which in my opinion is excellent. Since it has a regular USB and a USB C plug, the next day I tried charging my phone and my tablet together but that didn't work at all. The phone was charging but, very slowly and the tablet semi-charged a bit but kept coming up with the message, "not charging" I unplugged the phone, and the tablet started charging. Even with full midday sun I checked on the charging status and I saw the "not charging" message many times. To fix that I had to unplug and plug in the charging cable. It did this quite often many times it's hit and miss while charging a tablet, you really have to babysit the charger to make sure it really is charging. Eventually It did end up charging the tablet, but I had to check up on the charger many times. That was somewhat annoying. I honestly don't think the solar charger produces the advertised 35 watts of power. If it did it wouldn't have any trouble charging a cell phone and a tablet at once. The charger does charge all kinds of power banks and devises with USB charging very well including a very large power bank we have that is a car jump starter and to my surprise, it did charge that huge power bank, it took about 6+ hours which I think it's satisfactory considering its size, it charged up with no difficulty. So, I ended up charging the tablet from it. The USB outlets have a cumbersome rubber plug on them, you almost need two hands to plug in a cable due to the rubber plugs not swiveling out of the way, they are very springy and want to return to their original position. I really found them to be a drawback, so I removed them leaving the outlets exposed. I don't plan on getting them wet or dirty. The two tiny carabiners that are supplied with the solar charger are to be honest, close to useless. I had to find a better mounting solution to hang the charger up using a secure small bungee cord. It doesn't look good, but it works a lot better than the supplied hanging method. The original hanging method encourages the panel with the outlets to be hung on the top side; it really made for an awkward way to route your cables and placement of your devise being charged. I found it best to hang the charger with the plugs facing down. There comes another little issue, since the charger folds in a way that the USB plugs the carabiners somewhat get in the way of the folded charger and have to be removed. I'm just super cautious not wanting them to mar the solar panel side. In conclusion, it's an OK charger, could be better but it's a good emergency charger or for light duty use. ... show more

  • Great Addition to Any Emergency Kit!
I used this while camping this summer, and it worked great! It was easy to set up and charged my phone faster than I expected. It’s now a perfect addition to my emergency kit. It folds up nicely and is completely waterproof! I was worried one rainy night that I had left it outside the tent, but it still worked perfectly! I was only able to test Android compatibility, but it charged quickly and reliably. I would definitely recommend giving this a try! ... show more
