After our dog unceremoniously decided to throw up on our woven jute rug, we figured it was the perfect time to upgrade and replace it with a new one. The Ottomanson 3.3'x5' Area Rug was the perfect rug to place in front of our sliding door to the backyard. The rug is wide enough to extend in front of the entire opening portion of the door, and does a fine job of catching the little bits of dirt that inevitably get through the door, even though we take our shoes off as soon as we come in. It is a bit on the thin side and has a rubberized backside is similar to a bathmat. The rubberized side keeps the rug firmly in place and we haven't had an issues with it moving on our tile floor, even though the kids and dog run over it constantly throughout the day. The rug is thick enough to be vacuumed, and because it is a beige and chocolate brown colored pattern, dirt and other debris doesn't show up easily. The pattern is simple and attractive, and will likely fit into many home décor. At the under $20 price point, it's the right price for an indoor rug and is good enough quality to hopefully last many years. ... show more

My expectations were low considering the price. I bought one for the living room and liked it so well I got this one for the kitchen. If you are looking for an inexpensive rug that does not look really cheap this is it! It is low pile and that combined with the rubber backing make it an easy rug to walk on without snagging your feet on it. Also good if you have a wheelchair or walker. My dog does not snag her nails on it due to the very tight pile. Wipe clean. Hey, if it gets nasty I will throw it out and buy another. Not high end but works great for my needs. ... show more

    • Doesn't Stay in Place on Hardwood Floor
I purchased 3 of these plus 2 runners and am pleased with the quality and looks, and I expect they will last a long time. However, they do not stay in place on our hardwood (bamboo) floor and the toes of our shoes sometimes even seem to catch the corner of the rug and cause it to turn up.
