Came with a ton of stuff which is great for the money & I love the pompom makers, but when you start to wind the yarn it gets tangled under the device (where the yarn sits just under it), I've had to make several smaller cakes instead of one large one. It did a really great job of winding my yarn into more manageable skeins. Can get a little crazy if you use too much yarn per ball. But, other than that, it worked great. Will definitely be recommending to my fellow crocheters.

I wanted something to help keep my yarn straight and knot free. I searched and found this. It was the right price for what you get. However, I feel a bit mislead and this could be my fault as well. The yarn that I have wound are not big cakes as I thought this winder could take the whole skein. This product is flimsy and cheaply made. The table clamp will only extend to a table thickness of 1.4” so it was inconvenient to find a table to accommodate that. My biggest complaint is that it says it will wind up to 3.5oz of yarn but every skein I tried skipped and got a really sloppy wind after about 1-2oz. Useless. ... show more

Y’all - cake winding has become as fun as crocheting. This is has tremendously helped me keep order to my skeins of yarn after a project.
