Nice, Cheap Goggles for Beginners Like Me

These goggles are solid! I don't ski very often, so I've never felt like I needed a pair of goggles. But this weekend my friends and I went skiing in below 0°f weather with a wind chill around -20, so I knew I needed something to cover my eyes. I was skeptical because these are so cheap, but they were awesome! My eyes stayed warm and shielded from the elements. They also fit around my glasses well and kept my glasses from fogging up like they usually do. They fogged up a little bit at times when they weren't on just right between my hat, helmet, and neck covering. But it was usually pretty easy to adjust everything and get rid of the fog, at least enough that I could see alright. I don't have any complaints after wearing these only once so far and having a great experience, but my friend worn his goggles (same pair) several times and mentioned that they've started fogging up more over time. Regardless, these are a great choice for anyone who's just starting out skiing and needs something basic to protect their eyes.

I live in NE Minnesota. - 40° this morning. My nose and parts of my face have taken a beating during winters past, so time to replace goggles with this affordable set. Goggles are imperative during deep cold, as any attempt to cover my face and my glasses fog up. I’ve been out perhaps half a dozen times with the goggles in various cold temperature and clothing scenarios. Yesterday, snow shoeing at -8° with -22° they worked fine, but when I went out for long afternoon dog walk, either right goggle lens or glasses lens would fog a bit. Left side, nothing. This has happened multiple times. When the goggles work, they work well. Yet, when a bit of fogging occurs while walking, depth perception due to fog and the goggle framework is impaired. Perhaps a bit more tweaking is necessary, as it always appears to be the fight side that fogs. Yet, the goggles do provide utility for a glasses wearer. They do provide protection and considerably more facial coverage than sun glasses over glasses. While cross country skiing, they provide protection from the suns glare; when snowing, or using the snow blower, the goggles don’t get wet and drippy like glasses alone. Necessity becomes the mother of invention, and though not perfect for all my needs, this affordable set of goggles are fulfilling a niche of necessity.

Great for the money!

I was going on a week long ski trip and bought these goggles to replace my old Oakly goggles that had disintegrating foam cushioning. I thought, for this price what do I have to lose. I bought these on sale for $19.99 and I was very surprised at the overall quality. I thought they were just as good as my Oakly's for a lot less! The visibility was perfect for sun and shade. My eye are extremely light sensitive and these worked perfect at blocking out annoying glare while letting in more light. The amber lease is great for blocking out some of the blue spectrum of the sun. They look great with a silver reflective see through lens and they had a soft and comfortable fit. As it get darker towards the end of the day I found it a little difficult to see the trails, but that may just be my eyes. These have a VLT of 23% which means the higher the percentage the more light they let in and the lighter the lease so I think the ideal thing would be to get the interchange lenses and change them as the conditions change, but that's just one more thing to carry. Overall these were great for the price.

I use these Over the Glasses ski goggles while riding my bike. Most of the time they are providing 100% UV protection and acting as my sunglasses. However, especially in the spring/early summer, when the pollen (especially pine pollen) is heavy and some trees are dropping the parts of the tree that generated the pollen, the OTC Goggles keep it out of my eyes while on the rail trail bicycling.

Used them once. Very good for the price clear optics reminds me of good sunglasses. No issues with fogging up. Had a face mask on and temps about 25 degrees, my old goggles would fog in those conditions
