Ok, so I love this unit. What sold me is my main motto, work smarter not harder. It had power start. At 57 I really start to think how to think that way and this helps because it is battery start. PROS: semi light weight. Hose is long, and wand is durable, The main frame is rigid. Battery isa plus. And it starts everytime. CONS:Wheels are crap! Do not expect this to move at all if you have a gravel driveway. That's all we have. I ended up getting wider tires at the same height that are inflatable and now it works best for me. I just felt like the whol wheel issue is cheap and how you install it is very cheap too. The washer unit is kinda crappy, ya got a long hose and always seems to get in the way. I do not use it anyhow. Its a power house and worth an investment. It does come with oil, however, I use Mobile One in all my machines now, so I loaded it up with that instead. My honest opntion is, you csan'y lose getting this unit. Could it be better, yes, but I think that goes with ANY product you purchase. Do yourself a favor and think about your task at hand, this has a battery start and for me, I won;t purchase ny more machines without some power start feature. ... show more

I love my generac pressure washer, it’s gas and it has pull start electric start.the reason I bought it was I love to use pressure washer but I couldn’t pull start a pressure washers when I seen the generac it had electric start I love it I can start it myself.i don’t need no one to start it for me no longer ,I can do it by my self if there’s women out there whom like to use a pressure washer but can’t start it there self then I have great news for all women get the GENERAC pressure washer it has a push button start I love mine. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My first pressure washer and I definitely wanted one with an electric start feature. (Note: charge the battery COMPLETELY before trying. There is a tiny button on the back of the battery that if you push, you will see 4 tiny green lights if it is fully charged. I guess I was trying to start it first without a fully charged battery but was only looking at the charger itself, and the lights on that are very faint and you can't really tell if its glowing red or green. I have used a friend's electric power washer before, and this Generac (gas) is much, much more powerful. Putting it together wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. I've never even attempted anything like this and it took me about an hour total. Getting it started initially was another story. Ended up calling Generac for advice and although the agent was extremely nice, he really didn't have any ideas. I had watched some youtube videos and tried to start it exactly as they showed on the videos (some of them it took forever, also). I went back and adjusted the choke to the other side and it started. NOTE! The correct way is to Open the FUEL VALVE ( which is the bottom orange one), to the right. Put the CHOKE (which is the valve ABOVE the fuel valve, also orange) completely to the left. Supposedly they are marked but you have to have much, much better eyesight than I do to see that! Plus they are fairly recessed and not that easy to get to. Then: just push the start buttons in order shown on the unit. Some of the other reviews I read are completely correct; the owners manual is absolutely horrible - one of the worst I've ever seen. The oil fill location is very hard to get to, and I ended up spilling quite a bit. I see no way to make that any better because you couldn't really fit a funnel into that space, either. But other than those two issues, this is a great purchase. The hose is quite stiff, and if it’s tangled it is not easy to untangle it. I had the unit right next to the item I was washing so I didn't even need to try to unroll the hose. On the plus side, there isn't even a drip of water coming from any of the connections when I used it, which to me is impressive. I have only used it once, but liked it so much I went ahead with the review. Got it on sale on Amazon and am so happy I did! EDITED: Second time I have used this, and the hose already broke! Very poor quality if it broke after I had just been using it for about 5 minutes. I spoke to Generac immediately after and the hose of course is not covered by any warranty. I HOPE I can find a replacement that is better made than the one that came with the unit. I have changed my rating to 4 stars only because of the hose. As far as using this pressure washer it does a FANTASTIC job. ... show more

Absolutely love this power washer. So easy to use and the pressure is great. Tried a couple electric ones but returned them. No power and quit working. Generac is excellent quality. Just wish there was a lock to hold the trigger. That would be a good option

    • Electric start is finnicky. Everything else is fine.

Update: Two months after purchase, and the electric start module won't even turn on. Battery is charged, engine runs fine when started with the recoil starter (started on the first pull), but if I hold the power button for three seconds to turn the starter on, it never lights up. There was a faint smell of electrical smoke after the fact (it stopped mid-crank). Will have to see what Generac does about it under the warranty. When I use the electric start, it takes four or five cranks from a cold start. It also requires close attention to the choke setting. Using the recoil starter has been more reliable for me. Everything else is as expected. I guess the tool holders for the pressure hose and wand are a bit flimsy and odd. I simply use the hose holder to balance the wand on, and I put the hose elsewhere because my longer and/or wider diameter hoses don't fit on the holder on the machine. The hose that comes with it seems fine, just too short for what I'm using it for. ... show more
