The product description clearly states that you need a heavy duty power line with a 32 amp breaker, so what follows in my review does not reflect on the product, just on my unsuccessful experiment. Story: Last year I had a 2.5 gal electric water heater installed near the bathroom because our house water heater is on the other end of the house. I had a 20 amp plug added to power it. Everything went along just fine until a freeze destroyed the heater when the power went out for some hours. I tried to replace the tank water heater with this small tankless heater. This heater does have settings that will limit the amount of power it draws, but these settings are apparently intended for use when the heater is attached to 220 volts instead of the 110 voltage I am using. The settings do reduce eh power to about 1500 watts, but unfortunately that isn’t enough power to provide hot water to the bathroom sink. The heater really needs to be connected to a full power 32 amp circuit to be useful. So I need to have a bigger circuit and breaker installed. This is not a fault of the heater, as it clearly states that it needs a heavy duty circuit. Recommended, but you need a heavy duty circuit.

I had a professional electrician install the necessary breaker and wires and had a plumber install the actual tankless water heater. It did not work at all and after speaking with customer service, I sent them the requested pictures of the installation and with the machine powered on. The water never got over 19 degrees celsius which is only 66 degrees fahrenheit. Even after sending them the pictures, I never got a return call or return response to my email. They ghosted me and even though the item has a one year warranty, no one wants to make it right. I still want a refund or an exchange!

The water heater performs excellently, efficiently supplying two bathroom sinks and a wash bowl in my barbershop. Wiring it up was straightforward, and it heats up the water rapidly. A fantastic product, especially considering its price range.

UPDATE: I like the water heater, however check the specs really well before you buy one like this. Turns out this heater requires a 63 amp breaker and heavier wire than anticipated, making it MUCH more expensive overall. I bought this for my kitchen sink. I really do like it, water is warm in about 15 seconds and up to temp in about a minute. The temp is displayed only in celcius, which I believe should have been advised in product description. They did answer promptly when I asked them about changing the display. Aggravating, but not enough to lower the stars. Just something to know.
