It came corrupted and would never load which a big red message saying 'failure to boot' (or something like that). Kind of embarrassing when you gift this to someone and they turn it on, excited to play some games, and they just aren't able to do that. Would not recommend. I ordered a different one with similar look and price and it worked great.

First off, the hardware is the real selling point. The buttons are clicky, the screen is a good size, and the whole unit has a good heft to it. The software and emulation is good, but you need to be prepared to buy a better SD card to flash the software over to, because the included SD card is generic and highly prone to failure. It's not too complicated, but it does make you add the price of an additional SD card on to the total.

Giving it a three star review because a lot of games are repeats on different consoles and a lot Chinese versions in conjunction with us releases. They stuff a lot of duplicates just to increase game numbers. There’s also some key titles missing like the banko&kazooie titles, conkers bad furday, starshot, the resident evil series, no rachet and clank, no jak&daxter, etc. and I only played a handful of titles but right off the bat two of them aren’t working properly. Harvest moon 64 won’t display entirely, leaving only a portion of the screen to actually show anything and rayman 2 the switch in the second level won’t activate, leaving the game unplayable because it’s bugged. There’s no instructions on how to fix issues, what website to go to for support, or even how to download more games despite there being a second slot for another mem card. There’s also a button on the side of the handheld, right under the power button, that I have no clue what it does since the instructions only mention the buttons on the face. This thing would be nice for people that grew up playing segagenesis, Atari, game gear, nes, snes, but as some one that grew up in the 90’s, the lack of content for n64 and ps1 doesn’t really do much for me.
