I have a dachshund mix named Zaeda; she's a medium sized dog at about 30 pounds - maybe even slightly under...but I've always purchased/ordered "Medium"-sized collars, harnesses, dog beds, lifesaving vests (she's been with me on a sailing expedition around the entire state of Michigan...), etc and with the exception of probably 2 harnesses, Medium-sized products are perfect. This is exactly like that - I would say order the same size of this collar as you would if it were the nationally recognized Hartz brand or something similar. Yes, it is adjustable - and yes, it is also adorable seeing my girl wear Vera Bradley like she runs thangs 'round here ... (Ha! Of course she does! .. She's my soulmate... I could care less about the brand name; but it does have something to do with trying to give her the very best of the very best, even if she's unaware of my doing so.... I'll never be able to match her in spirit, but I hope one day she TRULY knows at the deepest soul level, how much she has rescued my soul and been the inspiration behind my wanting to be the very best version of myself I am capable of being)

I ordered this because it was so cute, and I could match my dog's accessories. Stitch has been wearing this for a month. She looks precious in this collar. Now, Stitch is a "dog-dog". She is not a "lap-dog" or a "purse-dog". She is the dog that runs in the creek and rolls in stinky things. As the owner of a "dog-dog" I end up washing Stitch and all her things frequently. The listing roughly said to spot clean and line dry. If the writers of that listing would have smelled this collar after Stitch took it for a roll, I think they would have agreed with my decision to toss it in the machine. I washed it in a lingerie bag and hung it to dry. Twice. Yes, as it turns out, if something is yummy enough to roll in once, it deserves an encore. The collar is holding up great (even with a dog-dog) and still matches the coordinating leash that has not been through quite as much.

Ella is proud of her new collar; all the other dogs at the dog park in their Valentino, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and Gucci took note when she began to accessorize with Vera Bradley. She wanted the matching bag until I pointed out that she had no shoulder to hang it on, but since the collar is largely hidden by her long coat, I did let her talk me into the matching leash. She's all about style and keeping up with the other ladies, but I'm more about function. This is a good, well-made collar with a secure (but easy to work) buckle, heavy enough strap to be durable, and a good solid ring to attach her (designer) leash. It's easily adjustable, and the width of the strap seems appropriate for a small to mid-sized dog. It was a big step up for her from WalMart gauche to designer haute couture, but I'm hoping nobody tells her I found it on Amazon. She's under the impression I do my shopping for her accessories at Bloomingdale's, and I'd hate to disabuse her of that notion...

If you are in to Vera Bradley prints there’s not much to see on this collar as it’s fairly narrow. It’s of average sturdiness, nothing special. What I love is that it’s made of recycled bottles. It’s good to see big name brands becoming eco-conscious.

You can count on the same Vera Bradley quality on this piece. This is very well made with top quality materials. It's very thick and strong, it should last a long time, but I think it's more for larger dogs because of how thick it is. I think it looks great and it seems comfortable on my dog. He isn't messing with it at all. It was larger than I expected for a Med so pay close attention to sizing. I had to size it down as small as it went to fit my 12lb dog. It's still not quite the right size for him. I'm pleased with it though overall, and would recommend.

I've been very impressed with several Vera Bradley products over the past couple of years, so when I saw this collar from the same brand, I decided to get it for my 15-month-old Standard Poodle. I also got the matching leash. I use the leash and collar as my dog's "outfit" for our weekly agility classes. It's been great. The collar adjusts really smoothly. The material is strong, but quite light. I like the pattern -- it's enough to be interesting, but still subtle. Even though it's water-repellent, I still think it's best suited -- in my opinion -- for times when you won't be getting it muddy. I recommend it.

I'm an avid Vera Bradley collector, and when I saw this cute collar, I knew my doggo needed it. Like all Vera Bradley products, it's very well made, washable, and attractive. I love this print!
