This cable is very good and convenient with long type a connector. The speed is very close to 1gbps in crystal disk mark, but when i flip the Lexar e6 enclosure the speed drops to 800mbps. I think it is an enclosure problem. Thanks amazon.

My Android Auto sometimes stutters and I've traced down the problem to the USB-C cables, a few work work well, most work so-so. This one works well and for that it's worth the cost. One odd thing I've noticed, though, is that fast charging is dependent on which way the cable is plugged into my phone. I have 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports on my computer, one with native Type-A out and 1 Type-C out. I purchased both Amazon Basic USB 3.1 Gen 2 cables to be used here. For the Type-C, i purchased this one [ B07D7NS3DD ]. I hate using adapters which i could have purchased a USB type A to C, then just purchased 2 Type C cables. Adapters tend to add issues and should only be used if there is no native cable offered. Both cables allow me to gain the benefits of the 10Gbps offering of the Gen 2 spec, using the Mediasonic HDM-U31C enclosure [B074N95HFW], I can squeeze out an extra performance (read/write) when compared to using my computer's native USB 3.1 Gen1 ports. (briefly explained below) What i really like about these cables, these are built to a safe spec of less than 1 meter. USB 3.1 Gen2 indicates that the speed of 10gbps starts to suffer once the cable is longer than 3ft. I didn't know this the first time I purchased a Gen2 cable (6ft) and it was never getting consistent results and assumed it was an issue with the native ports. Once I understood this, I've been able to get those high speeds. I would also like to point out, based on some reviews (both positive and negative) people are commenting on this cables ability to charge a mobile device. This cable, while being able to charge, is truly more geared towards data transmissions, which require a higher quality cable. You can do your self a solid and purchase a USB-C charging cable ( B085SBKFJR or B088NRLMPV } if charging is your primary reason for buying the cable. The latter option I include supports Power Delivery, which may be a requirement for your device. Tech speak; If you are not aware, most SSD/HDD are SATAIII (or Sata 6Gbps) spec'ed. This connection has a theoretical max rate of 600MB/s. Most people use an enclosure that only supports USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 which has a theoretical max rate of 500MB/s. USB 3.1 Gen2 has a theoretical max rate of 1,250 MB/s. Granted, my next step will be to upgrade my enclosure with an NVMe SSD to allow me to use the full potential of the Gen2 speeds. [I do photography and truly enjoy the speed benefits of dumping my files between devices, including backups. My camera shoots full framed 42MP uncompressed raw files at 84MB per file and at times I have many layered or merged photos that are in the hundreds of MB's] ... show more

Someone on here submitted a one star for this product not working with an I product which I feel maybe the case. Not the cord. Maybe it is but the end result being I whatever because it's Mac. I received it on time. As soon as I opened it I could feel how it was very similar to the thickness of the original cable that comes with the Samsung T5. Just a lot longer. Especially when you put a review and say doesn't work with ssd's is pretty bold being that the same product as mine and works just fine. Now to continue more specifically to allow similar use, reviewers see if this scenario is right for them. I bought this only to avoid using the Samsung version it came with. I searched months now for a replacement to buy for that just in case from Samsung and no luck. Especially if I could find one that was longer. local shopping and Amazon search to see if it's compatible with the t5 and could not get help so looked hard, and read every detail and found this and it works great for my ps4 pro and the t5. No issues read right up and started playing. Now as I said before. Specifically I use it for again ps4 pro and connected to the t5. So for those who need it for that I would suggest getting it. It's nice to have it aways and safely plugged in and feels durable and thick so I imagine it's going to last. Update 10/30/21. Still working and 4 to 5vdays a week I was switching to monitor on ps4 upstairs and pro on TV downstairs and still no issues. ... show more
