  • These things stretch like Crazy!
I am giving these "three stars", with the understanding this rating it is about equal to one star for each of the three individual sets. And these are by no means, "high tension" strings either. Or at least the bottom three nylon strings aren't. I think they must have used leftover bungee cord material to make the three nylon strings on these. The silver plated strings held fine, but I had to tie a knot in the end's of the two bottom strings, the "B" and the small nylon "E" string, because no matter how many turns I tied them with, they kept stretching and slipping out, and and then suddenly coming unwound "like an 8 day clock spring". Once I got them to hold, I kept tuning the bottom three strings every two or three minutes. And then I could about get a two and a half minute song in, before I had to retune them again. And beyond that, they are very soft toned. They don't have much brightness in them at all. I will live with that for awhile, but the extra two sets are destined to become strictly backup sets. I intended to give a friend of mine the third set, because the "D" string of the wound strings on his current set of strings just failed. But I will advise him to only use the one string out of the set. Because I have played his guitar, and the strings that are on it now, are way better sounding than these could ever dream to be.. Hopefully after they sit over night that may help. But unless you just need a replacement string or a set of replacements for the top three wound, silver plated "E", "A" and "D" strings, I am thinking anyone who knows anything about classical guitar strings is going to be disappointed, like I am. I don't get where all f the good ratings are coming from. But I wish people knew more what they are doing, so we wouldn't be getting deceived by these good ratings, that aparently mean nothing, except there are many people buying guitar strings, who don't know anything about classical guitar strings. ... show more

  • Not a good choice for me
Wouldn’t use these again. The G broke when I was still stringing it and even after I replaced it from the other pack, the overall sound was poor.

  • No Balls
Didn't pay attention when ordering. Wanted ball end strings, these are not. Just a little harder to use, but the sound is fine.
