Description

GT Radial Maxtour LX is an all-season touring tire developed for crossovers and SUVs. It is an extremely durable tire. An asymmetric tread pattern tuned for optimal all-season performance, and its stiff outer tread blocks ensure precise vehicle handling and steering response. The tire features four circumferential grooves that channel the water away from the tire’s footprint and minimize the chances of hydroplaning, while an independent shoulder groove improves the vehicle’s handling in wet and dry conditions. The full depth sipes along with the tread grip the surface by biting into it, which enhances braking and offers better handling.

  • GT Radial Maxtour LX 245/45R18 96V Tire (AS111)
Size: 245/45R18
Purchased a set of four for a Nissan Maxima 2020. Long daily commute, part of that on highways with no bumper to bumper traffic or slow downs. About a half a season on these without an issue. Purchased these because the dealership wanted $1200.00, discount tire places wanted $800.00. These were less than $500.00, 600AA (60,000 mile), V, and I liked how the tread pattern looked. They ride smooth and are slightly quieter than the OEM. Maybe one MPG better. Performance and handling is similar enough that it doesn't matter. Driven in all sorts of weather, storms, and conditions. Except ice and heavy snow, so I cannot speak to that yet. Overall I'm happy with these tires and would buy them again. At the time of purchase, I did not find anywhere where it said that these were all season tires. So unless these are crazy bad on the ice or heavy snow I'm not sure why they are so cheap. Even then, the performance tires tell you that they are not winter rated which I did not see listed for these either. I can buy a set of snow tires and still be ahead. Edit: These have been great and have lasted a few years without issue. It's time to buy another set, but I only need to replace two of the tires because they have held up so well. I'm thinking I'm somewhere around 50,000 mi with these tires. I'm replacing these two now because I wanted a new set for the winter season. ... show more

  • Non-Brand Name tires, made in the USA
Size: 225/60R17
The GT Radial Maxtour LX tires are for my 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I've had them for about 10 days now. My first impressions, they are quieter than the original Kumho tires. The GT Radials also feel softer, like the sidewalls are softer than the original tires. We had some rain the other day and they handled well without any noticeable sliding. The GT Radials are not a name brand like Good Year or even the lesser known Kumho, but the specs were as good as or better than some of the name brands. They are a product of the Giti Tires of Singapore but my set of tires were made in a factory in South Carolina. I purchased the tires from Priority Tires through Amazon. I also purchased the tire installation through Amazon and had the tires sent directly to nearby Mavis Tire Center for the installation. The install appointment was scheduled online as well. That process was seamless. So far, I'm pleased with the tires. ... show more

  • Do not buy
Size: 235/55R20
If I could give zero stars I would. After less than 20,000 miles, these tires are worn down to almost no tread. I’ve tried contacting manufacturer and even Amazon. Emails are not returned and you can not get in touch with anyone with the number provided by Amazon for this manufacturer.

  • So far so good
Size: 205/65R16
Spent a lot of time shopping around but settled on these based on price and warranty. I had a flat a month or so prior which I fixed with a more expensive tire. Bought 3 of these to complete the package, haven't driven in the rain yet but tires ride pretty smooth not much noise. I drive pretty conservative now grip is good can't vouch for high speeds or fast cornering. Worth the money will update when I get more time on them. If you don't beat on your car they will last. If you drive like a lunatic or are young and dumb they won't 😅 10 months now tires wearing great still dont even need to be rotated. Again if you beat on your car or if something isn't right with alignment don't cry about burning through tires. Edit* 15 months and still haven't been rotated. ... show more
