I love love love these! Easy set up! No help needed! Comes with 2 remotes and chargers. lights easily switch modes and dimness. The box came small but the reward is big! I can’t stop looking at them. Gave my bedroom big energy. The timer is a nice effect to save battery life.

I chose these because I hoped they'd let me improve lighting around my sewing machine. Each light has three settings: warm white, cool white, and both (all LEDs on). They're strong and bright, and would work great for lighting a picture frame from above. They charge quickly with the included USB cables. They're easy to turn on— either with the remote or by tapping the light. Tapping/pressing toggles between the three light settings and off. Super easy to operate even if you misplace the remote. The lights are easy to charge because since they mount with magnets, they're easy to pop off and you can plug them in to charge anywhere. The entire back of the light is magnetized. There are also small "stickers" that are iron circles with adhesive backing-- so you can set up spots to mount these magnetically on non-magnetic surfaces. I've found they cling nicely to wire shelving in my workroom for an extra bit of lighting. Since the entire back is magnetized, you can rotate the light or move it around a bit on the bracket to adjust its position and distance from the wall slightly. However, the angle isn't adjustable— they only aim straight DOWN. I think if I were to bend the bracket a bit, I could adjust that— but it's a strong steel bracket. These lamps (when mounted to a bracket) are designed to shine ONLY perpendicular to the wall. Somehow from the product photos I got the wrong idea that these could be aimed/adjusted a bit more. You could get them to shine at an angle by mounting the bracket at an angle (and using adhesive to mount the lamp so it doesn't slide). Even then, however, the light will only shine parallel to the wall. Perfect for lighting pictures. (Not so much for my non-standard plans but that's on me!) I attached one to a swing arm (designed to hold a smart phone) and have aimed it at my sewing machine to see better. Also works well for hand stitching when I need more illumination. The three settings let me find the best lighting so I can even make out tiny black stitches on black fabric. Great little lamps. ... show more

These lights are super plasticky and a bit cheap-feeling, but they work well so far, and for the price, you really can't expect much more. For my purposes, I would have preferred that these had a motion sensor, instead of remote activation with a remote control. But I guess if you have these installed somewhere that isn't easily reached, the remote activation is useful. Note that, although there are 3 lights and 3 remotes in the package, they all work on the same frequency, so any of the remotes will activate any/all of the lights...that can be a plus or a minus for you. The included metal brackets are pretty solid, but I didn't use them. I wanted to attach the lights to another metal surface, using the pre-applied magnetic pads. But note that they are not super strong magnets...the lights will stay where they are only if they aren't jostled. ... show more
