Oh no, it's raining. Quick, cover the camera. And out comes the elastic Cap it! You can cover the whole thing, or leave the front of the lens uncovered and the eyepiece and keep shooting. My only suggestion would be to make it perhaps a mil or two thicker, so that it's not so fragile, and so it may be reused more reliably. Otherwise, a terrific little product. ... show more

    • Fit is good. Thin plastic and expensive.
Bought these to cover our cameras during rain scenes (Arri Alexa 65's with prime lenses). They work very well as a one-time use cover. They are basically a large shower cap. The material is thin and you would have to be very careful to not tear the plastic in order to use it more than once. For the $18 or so that a 3 pack costs, it's a little expensive when compared to clear trash bags that can work equally as well (just takes more time to cut a trash bag to fit). Or you can use a clear shower curtain and cut it to fit during camera prep. I would like to see a thicker (therefore re-usable) version of these. ... show more

Finally someone developed a practical solution to weather proofing. I shoot on all different types of cameras that very in shape and size. Additionally I primarily shoot in Utah which tends to get both extremes of the weather spectrum as well our fair share of desert sand so weatherproofing is a necessity. The covers are fairly priced and incredibly simple to use. Excellent addition to any DP’s bag and now you can write of camera proofing as an expendable! ... show more

If you’re on a budget and might be shooting in the rain, these are great. Only gave it 4 stars because one of mine had a tiny hole in it, easily fixed with gaff tape though.

Absolutely Love These Covers!!! Super easy to throw on and pull off of the camera. I used mine on set yesterday for over 12 hours during a constant downpour and had no issues of leaks. I have these on all of my productions :)
