This is the same cotton being used by the world's top designer clothing brands Beekeeping is a fun backyard hobby that can progress into a lucrative business. You can produce honey, produce honeybee products, and provide pollination services to crop farmers. It does have its own share of challenges, however, like keeping yourself protected against bee stings. All beekeepers, even seasoned ones, get stung. And while there are many protective suits available on the market, some bees can still sneak a sting through them. The fencing hood opens from the front, should you need to adjust your glasses or take a sip of water. Oz Armour's leg-high zippers allow easy wearing and removal. The Velcro and elastics on the ankles and wrists allow adjustment for your comfort. Our hood features a patented insert within the hood, which distances the mesh from your face. For your safety, zippers on the neck overlap each other so no chance of bee entrance. Nylon YKK zipper is smoother and long lasting than a brass zipper Double sliders on the leg and front zipper for easy access to internal pockets and comfortable in the bathroom. I recently purchased the Oz Armour Beekeeping Suit Ventilated Super Cool Air Mesh with Fencing & Round Brim Hat, and it has exceeded my expectations! As a beekeeper, I was searching for a suit that would not only provide excellent protection but also keep me cool and comfortable during hive inspections, especially in the summer months. I am thrilled to say that this suit delivered on all fronts! The ventilated super cool air mesh design is an absolute game-changer. The suit allows ample airflow, keeping me cool and preventing overheating, even during intense beekeeping sessions. The breathable fabric is lightweight and doesn't hinder my movements, allowing me to work freely and with ease. You can feel the breeze through the suit, but you also feel completely protected as well. The addition of the round brim hat was a huge plus for me. I prefer to use this form of face/head protection so that it keeps the mesh away from my face and the stings away from my nose and forehead. The suit's sturdy construction and high-quality materials give me the confidence to work near my bees without worrying about any unexpected encounters. The elastic cuffs and ankle straps ensure a snug fit, keeping those persistent little buzzers from finding their way in. I appreciate the attention to detail in the suit's design. The reinforced zippers and double-stitched seams give it durability, making it a long-lasting investment for any beekeeper. The suit is also easy to clean and maintain, which is a definite plus. It is white, so you will see soiling if you are actively using it, but that is to be expected. And there are a good number of pockets in various areas that allow for you to put your hive tools, phone, or anything else you'd like to have next to you when in the apiary. I have to point out that the sizing options are completely wild and don't follow conventional sizing charts. I am a tall and larger (6'2" and 250lbs) and I went with the 4X size after reading some of the other reviews. This is just workable for my size. I can feel the inseam when I crouch down and it is a little tight. Just keep the size in mind when ordering. You'll probably want to get at least 2 sizes larger than what you wear in regular sizing. It's the one really funky thing about this product. in conclusion, the Oz Armour Beekeeping Suit is an exceptional product. It combines top-notch protection, comfort, and durability, making it a must-have for any serious beekeeper. Don't let beekeeping intimidate you; this suit will have you confidently tending to your hive. Highly recommended!

Hornets did not get threw fabric or sting me

I am not a bee keeper but gardener and own land, In June I heard the loudest noise coming at me and bit my lip. I never been bit by a bee or Hornet, I went into anaphylaxis and had become disorientated and body organs slowing shutting down. Nearly fainted and confused and rushed to ER,. After 6 hrs in ER my life changed. Epipen to carry and 911 if bitten again. This can not be. Called pest control but couldn't find anything but suggested only this suit so I ordered it and read many suit reviews prior ordering. This Company was so helpful with questions. Received very fast, It took me a week to get the nerve to put on and try it, I mowed my lawn twice with no problem. The last time I mowed I felt something tap my shoulder but thought it was an angel over my shoulder or the damn thing tried to get me again. Well I did not get bite at least. Today the landscaper was in the area where I was stung and looked up to find a big old Hornet nest. I called pest control and now it is all gone. The tap on the shoulder was not my angel but the Hornet who didn't get me. This suit is fantastic. I can go about my yard and not worry. The size was good. I ordered large as I put thicker clothes underneath. I weigh 125 and 5'7. It is not hot and well ventilated. I like the flat hat better than the oval hat but maybe in time I will like. I wear my Australian hat under the bee hat to make sure it doesn't move the flat hat or mess face screen. I have a small head, In 80 degree weather, dressed warm under suit, and in sun/heat 2 hours I had no issues with suit. I just hope it is always available on Amazon. It is made well. Zippers than covered by velcro. I couldn't find cowhide gloves for my hands as sizes sold out so I used cowhide welding gloves that go mid way up arms and nothing can get in.They are working out so far well but I would like to find strong bee proof high gloves for gardening. Gloves did not come with mine. I know ground bee nests will be in the yard soon as every other year and I will feel confident I shall get them out with no issues .Wood chucks love to make holes in yard so they can be anywhere. But this suit is a life changer for me. No stings, it is comfortable to wear, cool body ventilation, and excellent workmanship in all the details of the suit. The legs have nice zippers to get in and out easy too. I store my suit in a nice cloth fabric case. All fits together to store well. Thank you OZ Armor

Buy bigger size if you're heavy set. Worried about the zippers. UPDATE TO MY INITIAL REVIEW.

Just got my suit the other day. After some trial and error I finally got a suit that fits me. I ordered the 7xl. Not because I'm super tall, I'm 6'1", but because I'm 330 lbs (ya, ya.. I'm workin' on it). Anyhow, most of these suits go by height. They aren't built for us, AHEM, portly people. I have plenty of room with this suit even though in my enclosed picture it looks snug. It is designed solidly and is heavy as heck. I prefer the hat to the fencing hood, it came with both. If I have one gripe its the zippers. They work alright but I feel they, and the track, are fragile. They haven't broken or anything like that yet but I just feel if they are pulled the wrong way they would break. If this had had the brass zippers it would have been the ultimate suit. That aside I am very pleased with how the suit fits and it's breathability despite its weight. Hope this helps. 6/27/2020 UPDATE: So I used the suit for the first time the other week. Up here in Massachusetts it was around 90 degrees and muggy as heck with a slight breeze. My friend was doing his late spring inspection which gave me the perfect opportunity to see how it would go in terms of comfort, coolness and my big backside not getting stung. I am pleased to say that it worked out fantastic. If I did get stung I didn't feel it and despite the mugginess, I did sweat, but it was minimal considering I'm a chubby kid and it was 90 degrees. The air flowed nicely through the suit. I wore gym shorts and a light t-shirt underneath the suit and I could feel the breeze just fine. As I said in my initial report the zippers was a little bit of a pain in the butt however they did their job. I am very pleased with a suit and very glad I bought it so far.

Very Nice Well-Designed Suit

Very nice suit. Stitching appears solid and the zippers are robust. It's lightweight and breathes well, yet has enough layers to adequately protect the wearer. The foot-to-knee zippers and elastic heel stirrups are all nice touches. Has pockets for hive tools and pass-thru pockets that facilitate reaching into the pockets of clothes worn under the seat. I most appreciate the fencing-style veil. It has a rigid front screen to ward off stings from head-butting bees and a wide velcro flap the keeps bees out. The standard round veil is also well made. Highly recommend. Just ordered a second one.

Good design, well made, great features.

I've only used this one day so far and I love it. I used it to do a cut-out and also for working some hives later in the day. I prefer to use the fencing veil and I like the way it is designed to keep the veil away from your face. The slight downside to this is if you need to work overhead (like doing a cut-out or getting a swarm out of a tree) it makes it hard to see above you. The way the veil and suit zips up is great -- keeps the bees out! I previously had a cheaper suit that worked well most of the time but whenever I worked particularly excited bees or a cut-out, it seems at least one bee would figure out how to navigate into my hood. Not with this suit, the zippers close up nice and tight. It was the first time I've done a sting-free cut-out in a while. There are lots of extra pockets strategically placed around the suit, which I liked a lot. I also really like the ability to unzip just the front of the veil to drink water. The side access zippers are also really handy. I'm always forgetting my phone and/or keys in my short's pocket and needing them after I'm all suited up. One thing I'd like to see is a zippered outer pocket to put things in that you want access to. All suits seem to only have velcro pockets. Velcro pockets work most of the time but if you're getting in creative positions doing a cut-out, things tend to fall out of those pockets.

Great suit, Sizing is unnecessarily confusing

As a brand-new beekeeper, I researched a lot of suits before finding this one that completely met the criteria I set: Fully ventilated, lots of pockets, 2 veils, full leg zippers, Velcro closures on the wrist and ankle and knee pads. This is the only one that had all those things, and I really like it. The sizing is crazy, I’m 6’2” and 210 lbs with a 33” inseam, but the only 6’2” recommendations were at 246 (XXXL) and 250 lbs (XXXXL). I opted for the XXXL, and it was too large, with the crotch hanging halfway to my knees. I sent it back for the XXL, which fits great. Each order came in 2 days. I’m very pleased with the suit and the service.

Too bulky/heavy for warmer climates

I really wanted to like this suit, as the round hats appeal to me more than the fencing veils. BUT, this suit is incredibly heavy and truly not usable for warm weather hive work. The suit seems to be very well made, just wish it was lighter in weight for summery wear - perhaps ok for Canadian beekeepers.
